I attempted to book this hotel last minute at 11:55PM with my wife and two elderly parents because of unforeseen circumstances. Although I had booked for the date 9/6/23-9/7/23 and checked twice before I booked, the confirmation for booking I received was for the next day. I immediately notified Expedia (literally one minute after booking), and attempted to cancel right away. The agent who helped me contacted the hotel and hotel responded with “do not cancel the hotel and call management in the morning”. We scrambled through the city at midnight to find another hotel for the night as the this hotel was fully booked. We did as they said and called the manager the next morning. To our surprise, we were met with a condescending response that included “why didn’t you cancel immediately, you made us lose a customer, and you are playing a game.” I calmly explain what had happened. Manager hurriedly hung up the call and told us to email as they were very busy doing “check in”at 10:42AM. This is unacceptable, and If anyone runs into a scheduling conflict or issue with a booking I would hope you wouldn’t be accused of “playing a game” to sabotage a hotel. Please be aware of the unprofessionalism by the manager of this hotel. I would highly reconsider booking with this hotel as this kind of issue can happen any moment, and you will be met with such hostile attitude.

Good morning, I simply ask one thing: was the date change problem created by the hotel or by the online intermediation agency? the problem was created by the intermediation agency, therefore both the negative review and the refund request are to be attributed to the agency and not to the hotel. Because we haven't made any mistakes on our part. And I find it very incorrect that we are blamed for a fault that we do not have.Zeno, hotel manager

Incredible location, easy walk to everything, friendly staff, and the view of the castle from the "superior double room with city view" was worth the extra cost. Decent breakfast, though the bread rolls were rubbery both days. Room was great but we had a couple of issues with the bathroom. The water pressure in the shower was extremely low and the shower door was not closing properly so we ended up with soaked floors and shower mats after every shower. But overall, great hotel.

Location, Location, Location. I paid extra for the view of the Castello, and it did NOT DISAPPOINT. Aside from quality service, a great breakfast with AMERICAN Coffee, exquisite decor (especially the iridescent tiles in the bathroom), and easy walking distance to everything that mattered in Ferrara.

Enjoy Ferrara
Excellent location in the centre of UNESCO World Heritage site. Opposite the mighty moated castle and next to excellent restaurants in the square. Good breakfast.

The room was for the most part clean with a big washroom. But the bed was very hard and the air conditioner was not adequate. It was too hot.

Nice hotel, great location
This is a very nice hotel with a great location right across from the castle. Most other sights are within walking distance and there were several cafes close by. The staff was very friendly and accommodating- my late arrival was easily handled.

Best hotel in Ferrara
This hotel is ideally located in the center of Ferrara, a beautiful city in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. Directly across from the castle, the hotel is also next to several restaurants and historical sights. Clean, modern and offers a good and healthy breakfast. The staff are exceptional and make the hotel even more wonderful. We will stay here again when we return to Ferrara; an incredible place to visit. Grazie mille!

The location of this resort is very unique. It’s next to the Castle Estense in the city centre. We enjoyed bicycle riding though out the city as well as the countryside with bikes supplied from the hotel. The hotel is also known for it’s “WOW “ breakfast buffet. Extraordinary! Can’t wait to return.

Great location
This hotel is right across from the Castle. It is very quiet and centrally located. There is no thru traffic in front of the hotel. Several outdoor cafes are very close by. The breakfast (included) was excellent with a lot of variety. The room was big and the bed very comfortable.

Nice city center and hotel.
Our room view was of the lovely, old castle. The beds were very comfortable. I relished in the "top quality" air conditioning unit because Im from south USA. You guys traveling in Europe know what I mean ; ) by that! Same feelings about the big selection at a delicious breakfast. If you are American you will probably like this little hotel more than other 4 stars in Europe. Feels safe also. The nice lady at desk helped me book facial&nails apt at"Estetica"close by.Make sure to have prices written down on paper before you start apt. The prices 30Eu normal red nails and 60Eu facial. This is not a pampering salon at all, they are fast but the good part is you wont spend many hours in there. The end result was good and Im an expert on spas & salons. The ice cream shop around the corner is delicious. Watch out for MANY people on bikes they might run you over! Haha. Nice traditional Italian city. Good restaurants. Decent shopping. We enjoyed it.

Great hotel
This hotel is amazing. Well located in the centre of Ferrara. Train or bus from Bologna Airport very easy. Plenty to see and doo in Ferrara. Staff were amazing and Standards excellent. I felt secure and well looked after thanks to all at the Annunziata.

I’d give the hotel a B or B plus
Breakfast was good but not amazing our hotel in Ferrara had much more creative and sumptuous Food My bigger problem was the bed was v hard by American standards which is pretty typical in Italy but makes it tough for me to sleep well. Other the hotel was just fine

Can’t expect a beter stay
This hotel stay was one of our highlights of the 5 days visit in Parma, Bologna, Ferrara, Ravenna. We stayed in hundreds of hotels in the last 30 years, but can’t remember a better one in service, in location, in interior design, in personal touch, than Hotel Annunziata. I.e.: It is so unique to have a historical building in the heart of Ferrara and still decorated with the fine works of local contemporary artist. During our brief meeting with the owner of the hotel, he explained that every second month they change the art works. It’s amazing and shows the dedication and the long-term investment of the management in the interest of the quests.

Great breakfast!
Good location & exceptional buffet breakfast! Friendly & helpful staff. Hotel room was ok - the bed was hard & we had a loud motor outside our room that kept stopping & starting so didn’t get a great nights sleep, but otherwise all good.

The hotel is very nice, staff is friendly and the breakfast buffet is wonderful. We were charged €20 per day for our baby, which seemed very high, so I would not recommend for family.

All supplements are written and communicated. The problem is that many guests when they book do not say that they have one or two children and for us it is incredible because a child is a person and I do not understand why it is said that you arrive with your wife but not with your children. A child uses the hotel as an adult. I do not understand why the supplement is wrong. I have three daughters and when I travel I pay for 5 people. Zeno, hotel manager & a happy dreamer
