“Possibly among the best in Brasilia.”

Even though it is on the expensive side, the Melia has a nice pool, and breakfast is very good. My apartment was very clean and spacious. Staff is courteous and efficient.

“Good hotel for business trip”

Good hotel for business trip. Comfortable room, clean, excelent breakfast and very good customer service. The only problem was the internet access sometimes very slow.

“Disappointed”

Room reasonably comfortable but otherwise hotel is totally unimpressive. No service mentality. At front desk, frequently long lines and inefficient and inconsistent service; comments made by one staff are not necessarily backed up by others, which leads to frustrating encounters. Sunday night the hotel is dead, no restaurant/cafeteria or even a bar is open--only room service. No coffee/tea service in room. Spartan bathroom supplies. Internet slow and unreliable. Slow response from operator. Breakfasts OK but, surprisingly, no regular tea is available, only various herbal and green teas. Every morning several minutes of unnecessary wait for a taxi. Definitely not up to what I have come to expect from a Melia hotel. uthertec

Area recommendations

Difficult choice, as the city is divided into "sections" that are not visitor friendly. City is dead at night. No mixing of hotels and restaurants, no area for an evening stroll. Had on an earlier stayed in an isolated lakeside hotel; second visit in the hotel district. Both options are uninspiring.

Dining

The hotel restaurant is uninspiring. Outside dining is limited, as there are surprisingly few restaurants in this central "hotel section" of the city. There is an excellent but rather pricey steak house across the street from the hotel and another good restaurant in a shopping plaza two blocks away. Other than that only fast food places at the shopping plaza. Most restaurants in "restaurant section" about 15 minutes away by taxi.

“Excellent option for a comfortable stay in Brasilia”

This was an extremely comfortable hotel. I paid very little more for the "superior room", and got a beautiful two room suite with a balcony. There are a couple of restaurants in the Melia and the Tryp hotel next door, but if you want a great Brazilian churrascaria (steak house) experience, try the Fogo de Chao across the street.

“Grande classe pour un prix attractif”

Très bon hotel que je recommande idéal comme base pour visiter Brasilia. Le wek-end les tarifs sont interessant et l'hotel plutôt vide ce qui permet de bénéficier de la piscine et du sauna (c'est en fait un hamam).
