The hotel is really good with 2 minutes walk to Vienna Central Railway station (Wien Hauptbanhof) from where you can reach city centre in 10 minutes or can take direct trains to Bratislava or any other countries within Europe. The breakfast is expensive at 13 euros per person. We preferred going to Vienna Railway station across the road which has variety of cafes and restaurants .
Pros: Close to central railway station, clean, newly built, friendly staff, 24 hour bar.
Cons: No kettle or complimentary tea/coffee sachets etc.
The hotel is very close to the train station, which was our main concern. The hotel staff spoke English ok however weren't very friendly. There is no WIFI in the room, only in the main lobby area. We were there several times throughout the day and were never offered a drink (bar was right there, however never appeared to be open), or an offer of any direction or help.
"Not fancy and very basic, but it worths the price"
If you come to Vienna by bus to Sudbanhof Station, the hotel is walking distance. Near affordable restaurants and shops in Favoriten Strasse. But not fancy, room is just clean and very basic. Hallways and entrance needs a renewal, not AC, but even in summer, you would not need that in Vienna. They offer a good breakfast for EUR 4, that is very convenient for Vienna prices.
Dissapointed from Georgia
The hotel Birg-Cyrus is located near the Südbahnhof railway station, in the immediate vicinity of the Kepplerplatz …More
The 10th district of Vienna, Favoriten is close to the city centre and well-connected by public transport. It is known for Wasserturm Favoriten, a 19th century water tower and lookout, and nearby Spinnerim am Kreuz, a stone tower more than 600 years old. Large parks dot the area, which is also home to the Kurzentrum Oberlaa, a luxurious thermal spa, and the Generali Arena, a football stadium.
