“Better than average”

“Bring your own toilet paper”

The hotel had a cigarette smell to it and the hallway carpets were dirty. We had less than a quarter roll of toilet paper in the bathroom with no spare and had to go to the front desk to get a roll. The bathroom grout was chipped and tiles were loose on the floor. Maid service came into the room at 10:00 am although we had requested a late check out. Breakfast service ran out of coffee, silverware, and waffles at 9:00 and had an attitude when we asked if they might refill them. Walls were extremely thin and we could hear the next room all night long. Given the high rate they charge, not worth the money.

“Great escape”

The hotel had a convenient location off the interstate. The room was very clean and nicely furnished. We loved the short retreat. Hotel staff were very helpful and kind.

“Not bad”

Stayed in some kind of long term suite - had a kitchenette, and fairly well stocked kitchen. The housekeeping was shoddy, they don't chnage the shhets, make up the hide a bed, and they didn't wash the dishes. The breakfast was adequate, with a few hot dishes, but you had a wait several minite for access to the fresh waffle makers. The breakfast hours are wacky - why close the buffet down at 9:30 on a long weekend Monday? Not a bad stay overall - just be aware that their pool has an unusual chlorine level, and stings the eyes when you go in the pool area, and their sauna is out of order.

“Loved the free Beer and wine reception”

This hotel had all the comforts of home. I would definetly return! The reception they over with food and beer/ wine was a added bonus.

“Pleasant stay”

The facility is very well kept and the room (a one bedroom) was clean and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen area. It is nice to find a true one bedroom suite with a door separating the sleeping and lounging areas rather than just a partial wall which is more common these days. The pool area is basic with a pool, whirlpool and sauna - no water slide or other bells and whistles but neat and clean. Nice exercise room. Excellent buffet breakfast with hot and cold items including made to order waffles, cooked oatmeal and scrambled eggs. Location was convenient to shopping. Due to the hotel's proximity to the highway in back, it was too noisy to open our window. This was not a significant issue as the room has its own air conditioning unit. We will stay here again.

Area recommendations

We had an outstanding dinner at Monte's restaurant downtown at 220 Broadway.

“The Happy Couple from St.Andrews”

This hotel is excellent for longer stays as there are all the amenities required for a relaxing homey feeling. The staff are probably the best we have experianced over our years of traveling. We would recommend this hotel to all walks of life.

“Great hotel with thin walls”

It was a very nice hotel in a very convenient location. The rooms were great and exceeded our expectations. The free breakfast was amazing! The only issue was the thinness of the walls, between rooms and the outside walls. It was so loud that it was hard to sleep and didn't sleep very well either night we were there. You could hear every little noise from the next room as well as noises from outside, such as people rolling their suitcases along the sidewalk. It was very loud and hard to sleep.
