Seeing all of the mixed comments I was reluctant with my reservation but decided what the heck. I've been going to myrtle beach pretty much everey year for the past 30+ years and stayed at many different hotels on/off the ocean. The hotel sits directly in front of pier 14 and pier 14 restaurant, often wondered what the rooms looked like. We were on the 6th floor street side, I normally request ocean front but there were none available. Street front worked just fine, it was bike week and enjoyed people watching from our balcony. The room is beautiful with floor to ceiling windows which made the view so cool!

We had an oceanfront 1 bedroom suite and it was great. Both the living room and bedroom had newer tvs with cable and dvd players. The kids enjoyed that in the late evenings. It was spacious enough to stay comfortably a week with 5 people. The full kitchen was also a plus as we brought the slow cooker and made soups to eat on when we didn't dine out. Lots of family fun activities within walking distance. We would stay here again.

We had a large group stay at Breakers for a conference we were attending. Everyone was great and helpful and you can't beat the location. Cute, clean rooms that were very comfortable. We would stay there again!
My husband and I wanted to get away for a couple of days to go to Broadway on the Beach and see the boardwalk area with Ripley's Believe it or Not. We had a nice stay. Very quiet and even chatted with a Security Guard who was overseeing the hotels outside. We stayed a Tues. and Wed. night and saw fireworks both nights. The pool was nice and refreshing on a hot day and the girl at the front desk was pleasant. The room was fine with a kitchenette of small stove sink and fridge as well as a microwave. It was not as bad as I thought after reading the other reviews but then I was not looking for the Ritz.

We loved the hotel, but there's a couple things. Nothing major. We didn't have a microwave for our own food. When we asked for a cork screw, we never got one in the hour we waited. My girlfriend tried and never got a response. Other than that, it was a very nice stay. Just be sure to ask for a guest cart if you want to take your things down by yourself.
