“Savings not worth the filth!”

Definitely does not live up to the Comfort Inn reputation. We have stayed at many quality Comfort Inn's before so we were pretty confident when booking with this one. What a horrible mistake. Friends of our stayed at another Comfort Inn in Arlington less than 2 miles away and it was much better. Look for that one and steer clear of this hotel. In my opinion, we should get our money back!

“will not be back”

The hotel seemed clean and I had a room on the third floor. I was shocked to see a mouse in my room. My ratings would have probably been higher if it was not for that incidence. I got another room on a different floor as I had no other choice since stay was prepaid thru Expedia. Breakfast was mediocre.

“Great for the Price”

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel because the price was quite a bit lower than hotels in or near Washington DC. Staff was efficient and nice, room was very nice and complimentary breakfast was fine. Would certainly stay here again!

“Good Value”

This hotel was clean and well kept. It is not a fancy hotel, but a good place to stay for the money. The breakfast was adequate with make your own waffles, bagels, hard boiled eggs, cereal and juice. The beds were okay too. Nothing special, but not uncomfortable. The hotel is not close to a metro stop and I'm not sure about the bus, but it did have a shuttle that would take you to the metro. I didn't use it as I had a car rental. The drive into DC was a straight shot on highway 50 and wasn't bad traffic wise. It took about 20 minutes average. The only thing is, if you want to go the other way, you have to take back roads as there is a median and you can't get across. The hotel does have free parking and there was plenty of it at the time I was there. There is a mall across the street that has a Target and a Safeway among other things but because of the median it would be difficult to get there from the hotel, but coming back from DC it was a convenient stop. There was also another mall further out that had a lot more shopping and restaurants, but again, the median was a little problem if you were leaving from the hotel. But if you have a GPS to guide you it wasn't too bad. The only thing I think I would have liked to have would have been a refrigerator for leftovers.

Good experience, but it is a distance from the Metro line...taxi to the nearest station was moderate expense.

“We will stay here again”

Very nice hotel for the price, was close enough to the major DC attractions, shopping center right down the street, fast food next door. The pool was very nice, it was 90+ for our entire stay, so we spent a lot of time in it. The room was clean, AC worked well, beds were only full-size, seemed a little small and the mini pillows were just weird but it was clean. Staff was friendly, breakfast was fast and easy, orange juice machine still doesn't work.

“Ok for location & price”

Hotel & bathrooms renovated, room was old and musty. Good location, pretty good price, but the matress left something to be desired.

“Not the place I'd go again”

I was not very impressed with the Falls Church Comfort Inn at all. My reservation was originally to be a 3rd floor non smoking room, but upon checking in I was given a 1st floor room that reeked of smoke (as well as burn marks in the carpet and holes in the comforter). The A/C unit kept the room only slightly cool, and the tap in the tub wouldnt go past half way, leading to a week of luke-warm showers. Service was adequate, but nobody really went out of their way to help (or even speak english around the guests), except for a certain male clerk and shuttle driver who were very nice. There were some good things, such as the continental breakfast was free and had excellent variety of fresh food. The shuttles to and from Ballston metro station were always on time, making them at least dependable. However, next time I'm in the DC/Arlington area, I think I'll cough up a bit extra and stay closer to the city.
