This is a really nice hotel in central location and good prices. Bur be aware that beside breakfast no meals are available in the hotel.
This is not a problem as there are nice restaurants located within walking distance.
This is the only hotel I stayed in where none of the staff spoke a word of English. The proprietor was a very pleasant gentleman that, when he realized I didn't speak German, showed me everything I needed to know while rattling on in German. I didn't understand a word he said and understood everything he was talking about. Every word was accompanied by hand signals that conveyed the meaning perfectly. When he asked what time I wanted breakfast, there was the very clear sign of someone eating followed by numbers. Very well done.

I spent three nights at this inn while visiting relatives in the area and enjoyed every minute I was there! Please note that I stayed in the "new" building as I've learned there are rooms in an older area of the hotel.
The inn is on the outskirts of Herrieden so it's away from the central town which is nice from a sound standpoint. My room faced a open field and small village in the distance, so there was no noise at all if I chose to keep the windows open. There is a walking path that you can take to walk into town so you don't have to walk down one of the busy streets if you don't want to. On two mornings, I went out for a nice three to four mile walk into town and even to a neighboring village (again via a path).
The room was spotless and the bed very comfortable. (Although as with the four other places I stayed in Europe, I had to adjust to having no top sheet...just a duvet.) The bathroom is small, but efficient with everything you need. All was in good working order.
I thought the breakfast buffet was wonderful. There was the typical large selection of meats, cheese, breads, and vegetables, as wells as fresh fruit, cereals, yogurt, juices, coffee, tea, and eggs to your making. I'm usually not a big breakfast eater, but I coudn't pass it up. The breakfast room is delightful, including a sunroom. I had one dinner in the restaurant which I thought was excellent.
I would go back there in a heartbeat!

The room was exceedingly small and resembled a monk's cell, rather than a hotel room. The television was placed high on the wall and was only visible from the bed against the other wall, which was approximately 5-6 feet away. Breakfast was good for 5 euros more and staff was friendly enough. In a pinch and if I could not find anything else, then I might stay again. There are better places to stay that offer more for the price. Disappointing...

My wife and I have stayed here before and have always had a nice, relaxing visit. Two of our favorite things about the Best Western Drechselsgarten Hotel is the magnificent breakfast buffet they serve (cold smoked slamon, various types of meats, eggs, breads, teas, fruits) and the modern fitness room with quality equiüment.
We staed on the fourth floor with a wonderful view of the city of Ansbach. It was great to wake up and have such a nice view to look out at.

The hotel is fairly close to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, and is a good place to stay if you want a cheap weekend trip there. It's a European version of a Motel 6, located next to a convenience store and the Autobahn.
