Lovely property by the ancient city walls in gardens with adult pool, separate pool for children. Hotel pleasing architecture and design. Floor 2 best for quiet rooms. Staff welcoming and helpful. The hotel welcomes groups which can put pressure on the hotel. Good seating areas inside and outside the hotel.

The rooms need upgrades but overall satisfied. Staff are friendly, premises are clean and well kept. Rooms are clean and maintained. Pool is great. Breakfast is pretty good as well.

Nice hotel within walled city
The hotel was lovely. The grounds were beautifully appointed the peacocks walking around were so pretty. The interior space was tastefully appointed. The bathroom was nice. My room didn't have climate control and it would have been nice to have control over the AC. I loved having the open windows, but there were several people outside very late and it was loud - but they were just having a fun time.

Underground parking as well as street level parking offered in a city that is challenging to drive around due to narrow streets. Being able to park at the hotel safely was important

Nice stay
We had a decent stay here, but if I return to the area I might try another property. I felt the price was very reasonable, and we had breakfast and dinner included. The food service was very good. The property itself is a bit dated, but the room was spacious and comfortable with a nice patio. One big complaint was that wifi did not work in our room at all, we had to go into the hall for it to work. We only stayed one night, so did not have time to enjoy all of the amenities of the property, like the pool. I can see this being a very nice spot for a family trip.

Very clean spacious rooms. Great restaurant. Excellent position short walk to points of interest, shops and restaurant. Helpful pleasant staff and inexpensive parking on site. Our room had a lovely outlook through French doors over park and garden. Only negative was that our room needed attention to a couple of minor maintenance matters and bright spotlight in garden outside our room shining through our window at night.

The Hotel is wonderful ans offers a pleasant stay to guests, within easy acess of the historic center. The breakfast is excellent. The atmosphere is relaxing in a beautiful setting.

I'd say pass.
We had read great things about the hotel and were excited for our stay. We arrived in town around noon and parked at the hotel, knowing we were early for check in but not wanting to have to move our car mid afternoon. The welcome was luke warm at best. She kept calling my husband they wrong name and we kept saying that wasn't his name. She then said there was a mistake and they didn't have a room for us, very matter of factly. She wasn't particularly apologetic and directed us to their sister hotel in town and said it was 5 star and we would be staying there. Fine. Not getting the warmest welcome we went on our way. When we got to the new hotel they kept calling us the wrong name again. We kept repeating that wasn't us. Instead of a suite they gave us 2 rooms - not what we paid for. Wifi was spotty. The beds had sheets - no duvet or comforter. Pool area has been covered in a net (not shown in pics) and has construction going on (rather unsightly). It definitely did not feel like a 5 star experience. Breakfast was good - but I have to agree dark and had no ambiance (it was so quiet no one talked because the entire room would hear you). All in all, a very odd experience.

Staff friendliness, the hotel was beautiful and cosy. Food was amazing. Went for my nephews wedding and the venue was amazing. All went as planned and everyone was happy. We had the hotel exclusivity for the wedding day and night and next morning. Highly recommend it if you want an unforgettable wedding. 5 *****
