Beautiful hotel in a green haven. It is perfect for a lazy escape as it is in a village outside lisbon with not much to do. The pools are both lovely, the staff are amazing, the food is well priced and taste good. The Jaccuzi wasn not working during our visit, so that was a bit disappointing as every room has a private one located in front. The fireplace is a brilliant idea.
The reception area, restaurant and public areas are well kept. The spa is AMAZING, we had a couple of treatment that were perfect. Thanks to Maria & Alexandra.
The downside is we had to change rooms as bathroom in the 1st one had a bad sewer smell.
Great for fitness junkies like myself. Free use of the bikes and the hills will test your endurance. tennis court on site and a jog around the grounds of the hotel taking in the scenery is lovely.
Will definitely visit again.
About an hour drive from lisbon airport, so not a cheap taxi ride.

My wife and I spent one night. It is a very large facility (especially for one with only 41 guest rooms) with many interesting public spaces. The re-use of this former religious facility has been thoughtful. We would return for a short retreat, as it is removed from nearby distractions. The website for the hotel is quite good, but only an actual visit can let you learn how wonderful a place it is.

15 min walking from the main square, tidy and clean rooms and toilets, both really up to date in terms of design with big showers! Every facility is like a self service type with buzzers in case help is needed! A member of staff shows up very shortly with a very friendly attitude! Thats always a plus as i hate to be bothered with staff asking if evreything is ok every 5 minutes. The rooftop with a swimming pool is also really nice and modern. People from the reception, and breakfast are are also friendly and polite! The breakfast was the best i had in a portuguese hotel so far! I highly recommend this hotel to friends!

The edifice of the hotel itself is quite charming. Once you enter the rooms however, it becomes absolutely dreadful. The rooms all smell of mildew (I checked three different rooms). The beds were less comfortable than a 50 dollar mattress from Walmart. The carpeting was worn down to the flooring in most areas. The hotel is advertised as having free wifi in all the rooms, but once you leave the immediate area of the lobby, there is no signal. I spent one night there and once I woke up I got out as quickly as possible. One saving grace was the dining. The food and service were quite good. In fact I would say it was one of the best in the 12 days I had spent in Portugal. The hotel is well overdue for a major overhaul. Given the proper investment, this hotel has tremendous potential. But as it is right now, I would not recommend it unless you have no other choice.
