"Embrace Secret Gig 20"
I needed a single room in a hotel near to Halifax Town centre (we were due to do a bit of flash mobbing) and the Old Post Office where we has a meet up and a bit of a sing song. Oh - sorry, if you don't know Embrace go to YouTube and look for Embrace SG20. I chose the Wool Merchant at random, but it was a peach. I didn't need anything fancy, just B&B but it was nicely located with easy parking and easy to find.

"Nice room at a nice price"
Check in was a breeze and the staff was friendly. The room exceeded my expectations for the price. It was clean, comfortable, and relatively quiet. The shower had nice water pressure and the towels were soft and fluffy. There was a kettle in my room with tea and coffee. When I checked out, it was only a 5 minute walk (at most) to the train station. If I am in town again, I will definitely stay here.

"Super B&B close to town and country"
Fieldhouse B&B is a quintisentially English Edwardian (I think) house. It is very close to the centre of Halifax and surrounded by fields. Pat and Geoff are super hosts and very amenable. They provide a top notch breakfast with eggs from their own chickens. All in all a very homely place to be.

"Truly stunning - didn't want to leave!"
We booked the hotel as a special treat for my husband's birthday. We stayed in one of the hotel's superior rooms, and it was just stunning. Classic FM was playing on the retro radio, Whittards-style mugs were perched on a tray on the window sill, the bathroom contained the most gorgeous free-standing bathtub, and the furnishings and contrasting colours of the room were exquisite - turquoise and cerise. There was even an outside patio complete with table and chairs, where we sat before the rain came along. The staff were friendly, and the country-inn feel of the place was wonderful. Breakfast, which was included in the room price, was equally amazing and wide-ranging (home-made muesli, poached eggs, kippers and the like), served by a friendly Scotsman. The check in and check out times were also reasonable - check in after 2pm and check out by 11am. All in all, a very special and memorable experience.

"Warm Welcome"
We stayed only 1 night in Buxton as we had tickets for a show at the Opera House, which is a short walk from The Old Manse, the walk back is a little challenging as the hill is very steep but a taxi is affordable as it's only a short distance. Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable with a nice en-suite, the bed was a very large comfortable king size, maybe a little large for the room, but apart from that the room was perfect for our needs. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice as well as the standard 'full English' Overall a very good choice for a visit to Buxton.

"Lovely hotel on a steep hill"
The Pinfold Guest house is a very nice and homely place. For 5 nights including breakfast it was definitely not too expensive. Especially since breakfast was really really good. The only thing that kind of shocked me was the breakfast times, since I'm not a morning person, but it was well worth it!

"The Rock Inn Hotel"
Located in a lovely village setting with a pleasing view. There didn't seem to be many staff and was very quiet. Was a little shabby in places but the room was comfortable well stocked with coffee and tea facilities and was very clean. It didn't seem that the restaurant was open, which was a shame with such a setting. This meant we had to take our customer to other outlets in the area. A little more customer interaction would have been nice but we had a super time and was very pleased with the cost of the stay. It was a good base to visit the outlying areas.

"It was a good stay,"
Needed a room for one night, and it was fine, once we found our way into the carpark!!! The only 2 concerns we had were the room was very hot, although they provided a fan which was very sensible and there was a leak on the hot water tap which made the tap very hot to touch and the bathroom was even hotter!! Otherwise, clean, comfy and I loved the fact we could help our selves to more tea and milk if we needed from the room near by. Also breakfast was great. Basically for a cheap rate room it was good and will be happy to stay there again.
