“Good find”

We were only in Chartres for a day and wanted to be close to the train station. We were a little concerned because hotels near a station are not often up to par. But this one was--clean, well-run, quiet, reasonable. We were quite pleased and would recommend it as a good two star choice.

“below average”

We had two rooms. One room never got warm. In the other the water from the shower always overflowed on to the floor.

“Chartres”

Immediately across the street from train station. Pleasant staff, clean and comfortable room, although small as usual for European hotels. A few inexpensive restaurants within one block, a bit noisy at night due to the locals. Overall, would stay again.

“Rather tired rooms”

Rather tired rooms but close to the station, parking, and the cathedral. Reception were most friendly, helpful and kind and spoke English very well.

Chambre exigue, état moyen des sanitaires.

“Proche vieille ville”

Chambre très petite, mal insonorisée, entretien très succinct (moquette en particulier, tringle à rideau qui tombe...), viennoiserie du petit déjeuner de piètre qualité (fraicheur), un hotêl que je ne recommande d'aucune façon.

“Nähe zur Kathedrale”

Das Hotel liegt in der Nähe der Kathedrale. Die Kreuzung vor dem Bahnhof ist zwar stark frequentiert - war aber noch akzeptabel. Das Frühstück für 7 € habe ich ausgelassen. In einer Brasserie um die Ecke ein kaffee und ein Croissant für 2 € hat mir gereicht.

“Propre mais...”

Bon hôtel dans l'ensemble, propre mais sans plus. La chambre est simple, avec vue sur la gare (assez bruyant la nuit, préférez le côté cour). L'hôtel est à 3 mn a pied de la cathédrale et à 5 du centre ville, ce qui est fort appréciable. La TV était minuscule mais marchait correctement. Le couvre-lit sentait assez mauvais mais les draps étaient propres. Concernant la salle de bain, elle était toute petite et très peu commode. De plus la porte coulissante n'était pas très intime.

“This hotel is not a tribute to Jehan de Beauce”

We booked two night in this htel in june 2009. On the photo's it looked good. However the room was small, I even think it was a one person room, it was in a bad state of upkeep and not tidy either. We decided to only stay one night and dispite the fact that the hotel was unwilling to refund us we thought it beter to leaven than to stay and spoil our start of out holliday.
