“Super convenient while visiting Matthew Knight Arena”

We booked with University Inn while looking for a room close to Matthew Knight Arena. We chose the motel because they offered the best rate and according to Expedia it was within walking distance at .6 miles from the arena. We were pleased to discover however that the motel is actually directly across the street! Quick service and friendly staff. We will absolutely stay there again for events at MKA.

Dining

Track Town Pizza is right next door and has THE best pizza. Great service also, they had a minor technical difficulty that delayed our pizza by only a couple of minutes and our meal was free.

“If you're going to an event it's right across the street!”

Perfect little hotel if you're looking for the ultimate in convenience when going to a show at the Mathew Knight Arena, it's directly across the street. Adequate breakfast included as well. Nothing fancy but it sure was nice to not have to worry about parking at the event center, it's about 100 yards from your door!!

“Just Right”

Not fancy, not a dive- clean & comfortable. This place has a good location- Right across from the University Of Oregon. Close to most stuff you need and a reasonable price. Offers Continental Breakfast- including make your own waffles.

“Almost like home”

The bed was very comfortable & the room was clean & well designed. The breakfast bar had everything we needed. The parking was easy as soon as we found the place. It would have been easier to find if the online map directions were more complete or the city put up better signs - not the hotel's fault at all. Their sign was easy to spot once we were in the right part of the city.

“"Will stay next trip"”

Hotel was very convenient. This hotel is literally across the street from UO, which saved having to find parking. Campus tour started and finished right across the street. Next trip to UO we will stay here.

“Decent place to stay, not fancy, but can't beat location”

I have stayed at this hotel twice. We have a son at the University of Oregon, and you can't beat the location. The hotel is not fancy, but the price is very reasonable. They do a lot with what they have to work with - they have a small pool, offer a continental breakfast, in-room coffee maker and have a one computer business center (got to print my boarding passes!) Rooms are not fancy, but they are clean. Franklin Boulevard can be a bit noisy (especially when a Harley goes down the street). If top priorities are value and location, this is a top choice. If you want a fancier place to stay, they are other hotels you should consider. I stayed at this hotel for freshman introDUCKtion in July 2010, and to move our son our of the dorms in June 2011, and in both cases (a high demand period) it was the best value.

Area recommendations

Location depends on what you want to do in Eugene - this hotel is immediately across the street from the U of O and the Matthew Knight Arena - great location for U of O business.
