“A hidden treasure!”

We had 4 adults in a quadruple room, and had a wonderful experience. The building has SO much character, and a fascinating history that the staff enjoy sharing. It's not often that you can stay in such a charming place! I highly recommend the Pearse Hotel, not only for the charm & condition, but also for it's quick location to Stansted Airport. We had an 8AM flight, so we needed someplace close. Pearse House was only 5 minutes to the airport, and there was excellent signage, making it an easy trip. Stay here!

This hotel is very close to the airport, has extremely friendly staff, good rooms and a good kitchen.

“Wonderful stay”

This hotel is a great find for a family. The gentelman who ran the front was extremely helpful with answering tourists questions and with the children. The train station was close enough into London. Food was wonderful. Will definently go back!!!!!

I was only staying over for a erly flight out of Stansted - I wished I would have gotten there earlier. Staff was great, even prepared an early breakfast just for me.

What a great find the Pearse House was! The staff was very courteous and helpful, even with our late arrival. The 2nd day we had to leave very early for the airport,and they provided an early breakfast just for us. They even called and had our cabs waiting for us both mornings we were there. It is located very conveniently to the Stansted airport and close to catching the train to downtown London. Even though this is close to the airport, the setting is very quaint in the countryside. I would definelty recommend this place to anyone and if we visit again, we will stay here!!

“Rather old fashioned, but a pleasant place to stay”

The hotel is a rather grand Victorian house, with lots of original features. It's rather faded, but I rather liked that - something of the atmosphere of an old boarding school (which it once was) remains! A plus point for me was the free wireless internet access thoughout the building, which also hosts business conferences. There is a library, with loads of old books to read if you have the time. My room and en-suite shower room were fine and of a reasonable size. I decided to eat in the dining room, but there were very few other guests and the food was rather uninspiring, though the service was very friendly.

Very friendly staff and only 5 minutes away from the airport. And obviously better than the typical airport hotels.
