Fit for purpose

Posted 29-Sep-2014
Cons: Paying 3 pounds extra for airport bus when most people seemed to be there for that purpose seemed grasping and inconsiderate when people may not handy
Staff trying hard but it was anonymous. As an airport hotel it was ok.

Hotel is conveniently close to the airport

Posted 21-Sep-2014
Pros: location, shuttle service to the airport, ability to arrive after midnight.
Cons: Breakfast and dinner menus
Hotel was very good with a regular shuttle service to the airport which is a big plus. The only little niggle was breakfast and dinner menus. A bit sparse but adequate.

Good hotel if you are flying to or from Stansted

Posted 12-Sep-2014
Staff was good. Restaurant was very busy with too few servers. Food okay. Positive point that breakfast was available as early as 4 am. Would stay again.

Airport hotel plus

Posted 10-Sep-2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
Location: Irrelevant it is an airport hotel. You stay in it because you have just arrived or are about to leave. This is as good as any I have used.
The decision to major on rotisserie chicken in the restaurant was inspired. No more fancy sauces, just plain roasted chicken. Superb, best meal I had on the entire trip.

Perfectly situated close to Stansted airport

Posted 01-Sep-2014
Pros: The bed comfort, close to airport and superb breakfast buffé. Free wifi in the room.
Cons: The toilets are not easy to flush (not in any room I was in), and no smudges on the basin and mirror. Fix the A/C or check them more regulary.
Location: The only thing close to this hotel is a petrol station with a café.
Nice standard rooms with superb beds and sleeping. Tea and coffe in the room. I had problem with the A/C in my room and got a new room within a minute and there the A/C worked. Nice english breakfast buffé and kind helpful staff. I've stayed at this hotel before and will return again since I find the price and comfort very pleasing.

Cheap, but not worth it.

Posted 26-Aug-2014
Pros: The price
Cons: Bed comfort, wifi and scrapping the price of the airport shuttle.
Location: Not close enough to the airport to walk there.
On the surface the hotel looks great. Clean, friendly staff, cheap and close to the airport. However... 1. It would have been preferable sleeping on the floor of the airport the night before the flight rather than getting into one of the hotel beds. 2. You have to pay to get the airport shuttle! Hard to believe. Take the mid stay car park shuttle instead and walk across the road. At least it is free. 3. Why does this hotel advertise that it has wifi? This was non existent in the room (and no I didn't complain at the time. I checked in at 2300 and had to get up at 0400, not worth it). Every hotel I stayed in on my subsequent holiday in supposedly less developed Albania had free (and good) wifi. Holiday Inn Wifi is a joke and doesn't deserve to be advertised as a feature.

Don't they know people walk?

Posted 25-Aug-2014
Hotel airport with no pedestrian access from the airport! Plus on top of the room rate you have to pay £3 extra for the shuttle service??? Signs outside the main doors saying no noise between 10pm - 6am, however the shuttle bus that you have to pay for runs till 12am and starts at 4am. Meaning if like me you had a room over the main entrance you have the luxury of hearing the bus every 30 mins starting it's engine. This is the first holiday inn I have stayed in will defiantly be the last.

CONVENIENT TO STANSTED.

Posted 14-Aug-2014
Pros: A very nice hotel condition wise and close to the airport. Helpful staff who allowed me to leave luggage for a week while in Italy. Great breakfast.
Cons: Missed the last shuttle from the airport by 5 minutes and several others in the same way. Needs to be a way to help folks who arrive late.
Stayed 2 nites and very nice hotel. The airport shuttle was very convenient and the staff was excellent. Would stay again if flying in/out of Stansted and great value for the money.
