“Whilst in this area we will always use this facility”

We were extremly satisfied with the facilities the hotel offered and the staff were all very nice with there aproach to make your stay a very happy one we will happily stay again

The castle is well worth a visit and the town for the many shops and restuarants easy to get to Clacton for a seaside visit.

Have seen better stores but not to bad just to saunter around

“Happy to return”

Great value for money. Leisure facilities, including pool, sauna and gymnasium very good. Food good value but basic bar menu. good ambience, excellent staff. Happy to recommend and would return.

“Good, recommended resort”

Quiet, comfortable golf resort. Large rooms in the lodge that is separate from reception/restaurant/gym/swimming pool complex. Older decor, but comfortable with room coffee, tea, biscuits. Power (super) shower, toiletries, ample towels and pillows. Excellent heating when required. WiFI is free. If you jog, the area is flat and great for you - nearby airfields and farms. Decent breakfast, friendly staff. Colchester is about 6 miles away. If your satnav is a Garmin, please do not let it take you to some 'Nandos' at Head Street, postcode CO5! Someone's village residence! Correct Nandos - postcode CO1. Overall, well-priced, great if u don't golf, even greater if you do.

Area recommendations
Colchester town centre - several restaurants. However, too many parking restrictions - use multistorey car parks to avoid fines. Beware of one-way trafffic flow.

“Value for Money”

Friendly and helpful staff, room large and clean, breakfast satisfactory. Stayed one night, so didnot have time to use facilities. Would return. Signage could be better, especially for visitors arriving in the dark.

“Internet access problem”

Even two days after internet access had gone down, there was still no service. Understandably, the hotel blamed the service provider, but made no apparent effort to apply pressure for quick corrective action.

“would love to go back.”

extremely pleasant and helpful staff.lovely room overlooking the golf course,only spoilt by fogged up double glazing.shame !.facilities are great.breakfast has good and plentiful.we ate on the outside terrace overlooking the golfers teeing off.had a mediocre lasagne that evening,but the view,lovely friendly staff and the sun morethan made up for it.would not hesitate to go there again and would recommend it to anyone.

“GREAT PLACE AND CENTRAL TO ALL OF ESSEX”

HOTEL WAS VERY CLEAN AND WELL KEPT. THE USE OF THEIR SEVICES WAS AN EXTA BONUS, I.E SAUNA, SWIMMING POOL. STAFF WERE VERY FREINDLY AND ANSWERED ALLL QUESTIONS. THE BAR WAS OK WITH A LIMMITED SELECTION OF BEER AND LAGER BUT THAT IS MY ONLY QUIP. THE FOOD WAS EXCELENT WITH A GOOD VARIETY OF DISHES AT AN EXCELENT PRICE. 99.8% SATISFACTION BEUTIFULL GROUNDS,GOLF COARSE I DONT PLAY GOLF BUT THAT DID NOT MATER.

VISIT THE ZOO AT COLCHESTER IT'S GREAT. DON'T REALY TOO MUCH ON THE SAT NAV ITS EASY TO FIND WITH OUT
