“close to stansted”

This is a very basic hotel. The roundabouts to get to and from the hotel are nerve wracking and its quite a maze to find the place. But once there its a convenient hop to Stansted far cheaper than other hotels. They offer free parking. But unfortunately the cheap shuttle bus service has now been stopped and its a £10 one way taxi fare to the airport! So better to park your car at the airport. Nothing fancy. But it serves the purpose if you've got an early morning flight to catch.

“Great airport hotel”

The hotel was very nice. Rooms were clean, well furnished, had everything you need for a one night airport/service station stop over. Our room had 2 double beds, nice bathroom, soap/shampoo provided, mini fridge, tea & coffee facilities, lcd tv, iron & board. Couldn't think of anything else I could have possibly needed. Also, I expected to hear a bit of noise with travellers coming and going all night but it the room was very well sound proofed so I slept like a baby. The hotel has a shuttle service to stansted. Took me a while to find the right departure point (fyi it is Bay 3 in the coach/bus station), just make sure to check because the shuttle only operates in the morning and evening, not during the day. It costs 4 pounds each way payable to the driver in cash, so make sure you have some change on you. As the hotel is at the M11 Services, that means you have all the service station facilities within 3 min walk including cafe/restaurant, newsagency, Waitrose mini-supermarket, and Starbucks (opening soon). Definitely recommend this hotel. Rates are very good, especially if you book in advance.

“Good for the Airport”

Hotel Location was perfect for Stansted airport, a 10 minute drive from the car hire collection. Everything was very clean. Only issue was the electric heater was too loud to have on when sleeping and there were no spare blankets in the room. Would recommend to check for spare blankets on arrival and request some if none present. For the Price i would recommend and stay again.

“Good value for money,considering area”

Bed very comfortable. Rooms very hot but we were able to turn down the heating ourselves. Only stayed one night but everything was fine.

“Bathroom filthy, stay only saved by a full refund from the manager”

We stayed at the Days Hotel (note slightly different name!) Bishops Stortford on our way on holiday and were exceptionally thrilled. We arrived back very late and tired after our weekend away to the Days Inn, only a few metres from the Days Hotel. The bedroom was fine, however on entering the bathroom, there was mould all over the bath panels, and some on the walls, and the air filter was coated (and I mean coated!) in old dust and debris. I checked to make sure this was not just old mould on the grouting, and was suprised to see how easily it came off with a simple wipe. I went to the front desk to complain, only to be told the manager was not in, and directed to fill out a feedback form in the room. Of which there were none. We returned to the front desk on checking out, and noting 2 other staff members there, asked the gentleman we had been talking to if the manager was in yet. He then told the manager we were unhappy as the toilet was not clean (NOT what we had told him!). To be fair, the manager immediately apologised, gave us a full refund and also guaranteed us our next 2 bookings at their hotel would be transferred to the Days hotel. However the level of filth in this room cannot have happened overnight, and I do worry how many other people stayed in tht room and did not complain. Be careful when booking, and choose the Days Hotel, for the same price and right next door, a world of difference.

“Value for money”

We were going to a wedding nearby the next morning and required quite a few rooms just for ease of travel the next morning. The hotel gives excellent value for money, comfy beds, clean rooms and bathrooms and the girl at reception was very helpful in accommodating our requests.

“Convenient for Stansted”

Close to Stansted airport. The pick up and dropoff at the airport worked out well. Rooms were comfortable, and reception staff were efficient and friendly.

“Good Stopover”

This hotel is perfect for a quick stopover before going to/from airport. I stayed as i was attending a friends birthday party in the area, and it was a convenient hotel which was clean and tidy. Reception was still open (& awake) at 3am when i stumbled back to the hotel. Good value for money! Note: there are two indentical hotels on the same site - but never a problem as they are happy to redirect you and only a 2 minute walk apart.

“Useful overnight stop.”

Not a bad place to stay if you need to stop overnight before or after travelling. Everything was as it should be, check in was quick. Shuttle bus to or from the airport was available.
