Decent hotel
Cannot say much because I stayed just one night. The room was nice, clean of good size with bathroom. Unfortunately I was guided by Expedia app to the wrong location and I had to waste extra half an hour to got the right place with a help of very nice and good looking receptionist by the way. Overall pleasant night.

No frills and gets the job done.
Minimal, but meet the basic needs. If your after no frills it's perfectly fine. They said it's a non-smoking property, by the room was smelling of old smoke. The smell disapated after leaving the window open for an hour, complained about it, but nothing was done.

Don't stay there.
I am a world traveller, and stay at least 5 months abroad and never meet arrogant and malicious staff like in this hotel before. The reception guy was from second world war's Germany.

Solo short stay
Staff friendly, helpfull and welcoming. Stiftkirche St. Nikolaus (catholic church) across the main road. Drinks available in the small bar, but no Restaurant in the Hotel. Turkish, Italien, Greek, German and Chinese Restaurants all within easy wallking distance. Breakfast Buffet well varied. There are interesting sight-seeing venues and Museums closely situated.

Great Hotel for business travel.
Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast, great price. Rooms, although small were very clean and practical. Very convenient to public transport to and out of down-town Essen. Excellent restaurant close by, at walking distance, I would recommend- 'Zur Alten Post', Ernestinenstrase 31, traditional German fare. No credit cards in the restaurant.

Al was mijn verblijf voor een nacht, vond ik het een heel vriendelijk onthaal en vlot verlopen. De kamer was goed. Iets minder was de aansluiting op internet.

Auf dem Zimmer war kein WLAN verfügbar, was aber laut Angaben der Betreiber so sein sollte. Auch im Lobby-Bereich war die meiste Zeit kein WLAN erreichbar. Die Auswahl beim Frühstück hätte üppiger sein können.

Alles sauber, frühere Zimmerbelegung wae ohbe weiteres möglich. Mehr infos zu den Öffis wären gut gewesen, da wir nach der beduchten Veranstaltung die letze S-Bahn verpasst haben und deshalb Taxi fahren mussten

Das Hotel zeigt ein sehr gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis, selbst zu Messezeiten. Das Zimmer war guter Standard, funktional und sauber. Der Service war hervorragend, sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. (Einen Kommentar schreibe sonst nie)

Sehr sauberes Zimmer, sehr nette und freundliche Mitarbeiter. Leider lag mein Zimmer zur Hauptstraße hin was das schlafen, auf Grund der Geräusche von Straßenverkehr und Straßenbahn ab ca. 4:00 Uhr für mich, -selbst bei geschlossenen Fenster- unmöglich machte!

Havde brug for et sted at sove samt at få morgenmad, og det levede det op til. Men morgenmadsbuffetten var sparsomt fyldt op, og man skulle bede flere gange om at få fyldt kaffe op for at have til mere end 1 lille kop. Wifi forbindelsen var dårlig, og værelset lugtede surt

Preis-Leidtungsverhältnis stimmt nicht. Teppichboden fleckig und schmutzig. Statt Begrüßung, Schaden ein Flyer für Schadensregulierung mit Preisbeispielen. Fügen im Bad schmutzig. Dusche im Bad nur durch Vorhang von Toilette getrennt.

Unik hotel med god beliggenhed. Hotel er en ældre bygning med charme. Værelser er moderniseret og har alt hvad man skal bruge. Mit værelse var ud til en befærdet vej, som gav lidt støv fra biler. Hotel har en bar hvor man kan nyde en drink. Meget flink personal og behjælpelig med anbefalinger på omkringliggende restauranter mm

Wir haben für eine Nacht ein Zimmer gebucht. Das Zimmer war klein, aber für eine Nacht mehr als ausreichend. Das Zimmer war sauber und es wurde auf meinen Wunsch der Allergikerbettwäsche eingegangen. Das Frühstück hätte für meinen Geschmack gerne etwas üppiger ausfallen können.
