“Nice Hotel near CentrO”

The hotel (& staff--who spoke English--big ++!!!) was very nice and helpful. Close (5 minutes) from CentrO mall, which is why we were in the area. Only downfall--on the pictures of the hotel, I was expecting a room with the beautiful bathtub! I had packed my special scents and everything! When I inquired, I was told that the tubs were in the newly renovated rooms, of which they did not have any available. Now the room we had was very nice..just wanted the tub instead of shower! But I would stay again--I"ll just request a "newly renovated room w/bathtub!"

“Family of four - visiting the local attractions.”

I stayed at this at the end of August 09, when the German school holidays were over, but the British schools were still out. This Hotel is used foremost for Business travellers, as the 16 euro price tag for breakfast is very steep for a family of four. However, there is a bakery, McDonalds and Burger King all within 400m so there was enough to get by on. The hotel was great for my family needs - 10 minute walk or 2 mins in the car to the Centro - a very large retails/ shopping centre and theme park. 20 minute drive from Bottrop indoor Ski slope and 25 mins from the Movie Park Germany, which by the way is very worth a visit. The Hotel was clean, well presented, with freindly staff - who all spoke English. The room was comfortable, but not that big. However, ideal for the Business traveller. I would stay here again, and would suggest that if you are a family looking to do things at the hotel then this is not the place. This is a hotel catering for the short stoppers.

“Goed betaalbaar hotel dicht bij CentrO en kerstmarkt”

Supervriendelijke ontvangst. Zeer schone kamer, wel wat krap en geen NL tv zenders. Badkamer ook schoon, geen bad en geen douchedeur of -gordijn dus na het douchen hele badkamer nat. Kamer lag naast doorgaande weg en spoorbaan maar daar merk je niet veel van. Gaan zeker terug als we daar weer willen zijn

“Equitana Essen”

We hebben dit hotel geboekt om een bezoek te brengen aan de beurs Equitana in Essen. de ligging is erg gunstig en je bent met een 20 minuten rijden in het centrum van Essen. De hotelkamer is van alle gemakken voorzien en verkeerde in zeer nette staat. We hebben lekker kunnen slapen op een comfortabel bed na een lange dag slenteren in het beurs gebouw. Ook het personeel was erg netjes en aardig, zowel aan de bar die de hele nacht tot onze beschikking stond als aan het ontbijt en de receptie. Al met al zeker een aan te raden hotel. Enige nadeeltjes waren de locatie van het hotel was niet optimaal, het ligt op een industrieterreintje, het geen overigens niet storend was. En het hotel ligt net in een Umwelt zone, dus stikker is verplicht. Verder een zeer goed verblijf gehad!

Area recommendations

Oberhausen zelf heeft wel wat bezienswaardigheden maar dat stelt niet zo heel veel voor. Wel kun je goed richting Movie world, Sealife, en het stadscentrum van Essen.

“Prima Hotel mit sehr freundlichem Personal”

“Mercure Hotel Oberhausen immer eine Reise wert”

Schneller Check-In, Stadtplan direkt und kostenlos erhalten, kurze Erklärung mit dem einfachsten Weg zum Centro. Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter. Das Centro ist mit dem Auto in wenigen Minuten erreicht. Super sind natürlich die kostenlosen Parkplätze. Die Parkplätze am Hotel sind leider spärlich. Abends mussten wir das Auto dann in einer Parkbucht an der Straße abstellen, was aber weiter nicht schlimm war (sehr wenig Verkehr). Unser Zimmer lag zum Parkplatz des Hotels, wir haben von den Güterzügen gar nichts mitbekommen. Die Junior-Suite ist zwar recht klein, aber sehr komfortabel und sehr sauber. Die Betten sind wirklich bequem. Leider gab es keinen Kühlschrank, dafür einen Espresso-Automat. Der Kaffee am Morgen war also sicher. Das Frühstück im Hotel war uns zu teuer. Am Centro an der Promenade gibt es mehrere Café´s und Lokale die Frühstück zu einem günstigen Preis anbieten. Da ist für jeden was dabei. Wir haben uns für das komplette Frühstück mit Getränken entschieden. Alles in allem eine Reise wert.

Area recommendations

Centro ist ein riesiges Einkaufserlebnis für alle. Außerdem gibt es kostenlose Parkplätze. Direkt daneben ist das Sea-Life und das Metronom Theater, in dem das sehr schöne Musical "Wicked - Die Hexen von Oz" gespielt wird.

“Hotel im Gewerbegebiet, man kommt aber überall hin”

teilweise einfaches Hotel, das Bad besitzt eine bodenebene Dusche ohne Vorhang und ohne Handtuchablagemöglichkeit. Sonst alles zu unserer Zufriedenheit, vor allem ein sehr leckeres und reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet

“Das Mercure Hotel liegt im Gewerbegebiet ca.5min. vom Centro entfernt”

Erstkontakt mir dem Personal an der Rezeption sowie Check IN wurde reibungslos, aber auch gleichgültig durchgeführt, also von der Freundlichkeit des Personals in den Bewertungen hat man nichts mitbekommen. Zimmer war ausreichend, allerdings sind die Zimmer zur Bahnstrecke wirklich eine Zumutung bei offenem Fenster. Lampe war defekt. Frühstücksbuffet war super. personal dort auch mal wirklich höflich. Lage des Hotels gewöhnungsbedürftig im Gewerbegebiet. Centro ca.5 Autominuten entfernt

Das Hotel ist sehr sauber und modern. Das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück sehr lecker.

Area recommendations

Perfekt für einen Musicalbesuch sowie zum Shoppen im Centro. Alles leicht mit dem Bus oder auch zu Fuss zu erreichen.
