“So Glad I chose the InterCity Hotel..”

Hotel was in a great location - round the corner from the pedestrianised shopping area and across the street from the main station. Room was quiet, stylish, very clean and the shower-room was lovely. Had the best shower I've ever had ! A free travel card and Friendly hotel staff made this an even more enjoyable stay.

“Intercity Hotel te Essen: direct in centrum”

Intercity Hotel ligt vlakbij de Willy Brandtplatz (grote warenhuizen), van waar je verder het centrum inloopt. In november/december is dat het beginpunt van de opstelling van 250 kerstkramen op de Kerstmarkt. Het hotel ligt ook direct bij het DB-Hauptbahnhof. Dus treinreizigers naar Essen lopen in 5 minuten naar het hotel. Vanaf dit station rijdt er ook elke 15 minuten een gratis bus naar het zeer mooie Folkwangmuseum (na grote verbouwing in januari 2010, Essen Cultuurstad Europa). Museum zeker een bezoek waard (heeft ook eigen ondergrondse parkeergarage). Prima hotel, kamers zijn comfortabel, maar niet zo groot.

“Eingangstor zur Innenstadt am Hauptbahnhof”

Noch relativ neues Intercity-Hotel schräg gegenüber vom Hauptbahnhof Essen. Ansprechende, geräumige Zimmer und Bäder mit dem gewohnten Steigenberger-Service. Sehr gute Betten/Matratzen! Ausreichend Stauraum vorhanden. Die Innenstadt ist fußläufig erreichbar, ebenso das Museum Folkwang. Frühstück wird extra berechnet; solides Angebot auf dem Frühstücksbüffet ohne Schnickschnack. Sehr entspannte Frühstücksathmosphäre.

“Kerstmarkt in Essen”

Prima hotel met vriendelijk personeel. Gunstige ligging in centrum van de stad. Essen is een leuke stad voor shoppen
