“Lost in a time warp”

If you hanker for a return to the 1980's then this is the hotel for you. It has not been updated since the day it was built. Understaffed, poor choice on menu, not cleaned very well, no soundproofing so you can hear every footstep in the corridor outside. and the breakfast room is too small to cope with the number of guests. On the plus side, beds were comfortable, and there is a wide, if not strange, breakfast choice. I didn't know Chicken nuggets were a breakfast food.

“the service is very slow anything you as for seems to have been a real chore for them.”

Not at all happy with service. Any time you asked for anything it seems to have been a real chore for them. Had problem with their computer. needed to contact family back home. Printer was not set properly. Instructions in german even though the clerk spoke english would not give any assistance or call someone who would be able to reset computer. Just left me sitting there. Room never really cleaned properly. Never left enough towels, or glasses, always had to call down or go get them ourselves. Would not stay there again

“Sehr ansprechendes **** Hotel in Bochum”

Auch für die kurze Übernachtung ist das Hotel sehr zu empfehlen. Das Frühstücksbufett war sehr reichhaltig. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

“Das Achat Hotel in Bochum ist sehr empfehlenswert !!!”

Ich bin nun schon öfter hier im Hotel untergekommen und jedesmal wieder erfreut über die Freundlichkeit und Sauberkeit des Hotels. Die Zimmer sind optimal. Ich werde immer wieder dieses Hotel buchen.

“Gutes Hotel - jedoch gefühlt eher 3 Sterne.”

Sie 4 Sterne wecken vielleicht falsche Erwartungen: mittlerweile sind ettliche Details renovierungsbedürftig (prominentes Beispiel sind die Dehnfugen im Badezimmer). An sich ist das Hotel absolut OK und hat ein hinreichend gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Bei der Gelegenheit ein dickes Lob an den freundlichen, kompetenten und sehr zuvorkommenden Service! Das Hotel liegt verkehrsgünstig (Autobahn A40) und nahe am Einkausfzentrum Ruhrpark, aber deutlich von der Innenstadt entfernt. Lärmempfindliche Gäste können am Wochenende insbesondere im Sommer bei offenem Fenster durch den Lärm vor der angrenzenden Großraum-Diskothek gestört werden, der Lärmpegel übersteigt jedoch meist nicht den üblichen Stadtlärm.

“beste zeit hinter sich”

das hotel ist ein businesshotel und wohl meist von firmen für veranstaltungen und seminare gebucht. Im ganzen fehlt es an charakter was aber für ein seminarhotel meist üblich ist. Allerdings ist an vielen stellen sehr deutlich zu erkennen das wenig wert auf wartung, pflege und instandhaltung gelegt wird. Lobby: personal sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und serviceorientiert. Bar: läd nicht wirklich zum verweilen ein, aber personal ebenfalls sehr angenehm, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Restaurant: nicht probiert Frühstück: befriedigender normaler standard. Reicht soweit aus. Zimmer: ziemlich bunt, aber das ist ja geschmacksache. Bett & matratze haben beste zeit hinter sich und der schlaf war nicht wirklich gut. Minibar vorhanden aber nicht befüllt. Im kühlfach befindet sich eine broschüre mit dem hinweis dass das hotel gerne die bar mit getränken bestückt. Snacks keine vorhanden. Positiv, eine kleine flasche wasser als aufmerksamkeit des hauses. An eine auswahl an snacks war allerdings nicht zu kommen, bzw. ganz eingeschränkt an der lobby. Bad & housekeeping: ok, also hier darf und MUSS man mehr erwarten. Das bad hat die besten zeiten auch hinter sich und weist einige unschöne mängel von schäden und auch roststellen auf. Wenn dies so ist dann sollte wenigstens die sauberkeit gewährleistet sein. "Diverse" haare vorheriger gäste im bad, im bereich der scharniere des toilettendeckels entfernbarer schmutz. Absolutes no go. Wanne, schaum vom vorgast. No go.

“Das Hotel liegt direkt am Einkaufszentrum mit Auffahrt zur Autobahn”

Für einen Kurztrip ist das Hotel zu empfehlen, für einen längeren Urlaub würde ich ein Hotel in ruhigerer Umgebung bevorzugen.
