I frequently travel to Budapest on business, and this is my first stay at Cornithia.
The hotel staff are friendly and courteous, the hotel is stunning and intreguing (they have a VIP guest list on the wall), and the room was surprisingly spacious, as well as comfortable and clean.
The WIFI connection was good.
I will definitely be rebooking a stay at the Cornithia in the coming weeks.
Couldn't fault the hotel-excellent location, excellent and efficient staff, superb breakfast, superb facilities spa and gym, free wi-if. When the only negative was the low powered hairdryer in the room u know ur scrapping the barrel for bad things to say about the place. Would definitely recommend and would most definitely return.
The hotel is very conveniently located across the street from Deak Ferenc Park. It's on two metro lines and a tram stop, so it's difficult to find a more convenient location. With all the public transporation available, walking is the preferred option since it's close to many of the sites on Pest's side of the city. The room wasn't large, but it was comfortable nonetheless.
This hotel is located across the street from the main Budapest train station, so that made it a welcome sight coming off of a 7 hour train ride from Prague. The people hanging around this area look shady especially if your arrival is at night, but the area is relatively safe.
The front desk staff is friendly and helpful, and the room is comfortable. The included breakfast is a great bonus. The food selection is your standard basic selection of eggs, cold cuts, cereal, etc. I will definitely stay here again based on the convenient location and budget-friendly cost.
overall good, room..pillows not up to standard, shower ok if your 5 ft..head to low, room not cleaned one day out of 3, no fresh towels during stay. Reception & restaurant staff v pleasant,
no bar/ lounge ares to relax as under renovation...check before u book, take minibus transfer to airport far cheaper than htl taxi quote €28/30, local taxi 10/12000 huf (we paid 5000huf for 2 ..book at reception)
Named after Queen Elisabeth, the seventh district of Budapest is also the city's historical Jewish Quarter. The area is home to several synagogues, including Europe's largest on Dohany utca. A high proportion of young professional residents make Erzsebetvaros a popular nightlife district.
