"good location, beautiful setting"
looking at other reviews before i arrived i was pleased to see that the hotel and grounds and staff were above expectations. The location is good if you want to visit lake como, it has good links to both sides of the lake. On the down side the resturant was too expensive for our taste, but there are plenty of places to eat in and around Erba. The only concern i would of had was if there was a wedding i can see why the hotel may not of been as pleasant to stay in. so i would check before you book. a lot of comments about eating breakfeast in the basement.... it was good quality and choice, eating without windows is not a show stopper, the structure and look of the room is very pleasent Overall i would stay again, all staff were very helpful, pool was good and clean.

"not bad at all"
Very clean comfortable hotel but in the wrong location. Staff very friendly and helpful. No complaints at all about the service. For a relaxing experience ideal but limited facilities for an active family

"It's a Gem"
My husband and I stayed here for six nights in June. I booked through Expedia and was a bit worried, because there were no previous reviews. Finding the place is a bit cumbersome if you don't read the instructions (emailed to you) carefully, although once at the roundabout, there is a clear sign that leads there. The most important thing to remember is the Carabinieri. Via Chiesa Molinari is a very narrow street, and there are a few one way streets before that. The rooms are named after flowers. We stayed upstairs, at the end of the corridor. The room was very large, with four balconies and beautiful views over Erba and the surrounding area. This gave us the opportunity to see some beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The bed is old style, with old mattresses, but I had my best sleeps there out of the whole Europe trip. The bathroom is outside the room, which is a bit inconvenient and interesting, but so are the others, so seeing people wrapped in their towels in the hall is no surprise. I felt a bit claustrophobic when having a shower in the bath tub, but the bathroom itself was quite large and nicely appointed with parquette (wooden floor) instead of tiles. When the weather was nice and it was warm, breakfast was set up outside, in the garden, although we had the choice of having breakfast inside or outside. There was just the right amount of food, set up buffet style, no scrambled eggs, or anything like this, though. I particularly liked the local goat cheese and salami and the
