Clran, quiet and friendly reception. There were free newspapers. They offered coffee, bananas and granola bars for breakfast. Help yourself, not advertised. Small, 2 floors, homely.

The room had no heating and the TV did not work. The acoustics were quite bad, the room was right next’s door to the front desk and conversations between the staff and people checking in, are audible in the room. The room was clean. Maybe just bad luck on the room I was assigned.

Certainly! Here's a revised version of your review: "When we arrived, nobody was in the reception area, and upon returning around midnight, we found the door locked. Despite the cold weather, we had to wait outside for 10 minutes. When we finally reached the receptionist by phone, they seemed sleepy and instructed us to use the side door. This experience was disappointing and inconvenient."

We are repeat guests at the Inn and we love it. Staff is so friendly, the parking is easy (and very close to the doors!) and it’s a great location. A quick 3 minute drive downtown to the shops and restaurants but also close to Tims and gas on the other side. Rooms are clean and air quality is really good!

The hotel wasn't anything special; it was clean, staff was nice and friendly, no real complaints except that there was no hot water in the shower. The warmest it got was lukewarm and it was unpleasant.

Walls were covered in something. Stains on the bed sheets. Freezing cold room, so we were given a space heater. “Spa Bath” was stained and rusted and didn’t even come with a plug. A little over priced in my opinion for what it is.

The owner and large family live there and it smells like their home - curry, mostly. The ashtray outside was full, carpets smelled of smoke, White towel had brown stains on it and when I asked for another, the owner was unapologetic. The free "coffee" didn't happen. The bathroom was tired and not maintained. It's just a cheap motel owned by immigrants, feels third world.

We had a cozy stay here at The Village Inn. The price was super reasonable and the accommodations were clean. We stayed in a king room with jacuzzi tub and everything worked great. The hotel is walkable to downtown, but there are also several places nearby (Tim Hortons, pizza, gas station, convenience store) steps away from the door. Staff was helpful both on the phone and in person, appreciate the late desk hours as we arrived several hours later than anticipated driving through a winter storm. Will definitely stay again, thank you!

Great location, very basic inn.
Stayed for a wedding in the Elora, the Village inn was super close to the venue and it was good for the night. But it is a very basic, no frills hotel. It did the job, however was surprisingly clean

I was somewhat irked when I booked two rooms months ago and the front desk person said we don’t have rooms beside each other. I asked him to check again and he said no. It was for our daughter whom we haven’t seen in a year. My wife came in and said this is not right. She went down to the front desk and, lo and behold, the room across the hall was available! I don’t appreciate being lied to and will not be recommending this Inn.

Reasonable rates. Allowed us to check in early. Safe, clean comfortable. Didn’t have a hair dryer but probably could have gotten one at the front desk. All in all a pleasant surprise.

Very pleased with our over night stay. Our room could have had a paint job but I know they are working at improving the property. Convenient to down town etc. Very quiet. Would visit again for sure!!!!

The toilet was not functioning properly, as it took ages for the tank to refill. The manager said he could not get a plumber until the morning. The deadbolt to our door was not functioning. The manager said not to worry as no one could get in without a keycard. This is a dated property which requires significant upgrading, but we had a good sleep

Nice Inn. Little outside of downtown Elora. But convenience store, Subway and pizza place walking distance. Excellent restaurant 5 minute drive. Gas station near by. Owners nice and helpful. Lighting in parking lot behind building not the greatest. But overall a nice place to stay.
