very friendly, helpful front desk staff. Basic, clean, quiet rooms. coffee, tea etc. available in am. plenty of places to eat within a few minutes drive. Good place to stay if you are looking for a clean, quiet place to rest after a long day. convienent to Corning Museum of Glass and The Studio.

I guess I would recommend this hotel for someone who just wants a place to sleep for one night. It really wasn't a place that I would recommend for a family stay. It was just mediocre - nothing special at all.

comfortable bed. new mattresses. basic no frills but clean place. good value for $. continental breakfast basic with a few good choices.

Beds & baths were clean, very outdated, beer cans were left just outside an exit door for over a day, front entrance not impressive, fridge leaked, continental breakfast was sparse, can hear every little thing (doors opening & closing, foot steps, etc.)... couldn't sleep well at all.

This is certainly an older building, and it shows some signs of wear, but it is kept VERY clean, and everything is in working order. It is family run and the people are very nice. The breakfast was pretty basic: coffee, juice, cereal, some pastries. Being on vacation, I just wanted to hit Poppleton's Pastries in Corning, anyway. There was a fridge, microwave & coffee maker (although there was no blow dryer. I didn't care, bc I had my own, but don't come counting on one). For such a good price and the convenience to Corning, I was VERY impressed and VERY happy with my experience there. I would definitely stay there again.

“Perfect for an overnight - basic accommodations”

There are no frills, but when you are looking for an overnight stay, you don't need pools and chandeliers and bars and restaurants. The beds were comfortable, the pillows were a little hard, but you never know about pillows. The bathtub appears to be a new surround installation, and the water pressure was good with a good shower. There was a power strip to accommodate computer and other electrical equipment and a refrigerator. There was a modest continental breakfast, but it was good - banana, oatmeal, cereal, coffee, juice, toast, muffins. Just enough to get you on the road.
