Avoid This Hotel
If this were a cheap hostel then the initial non-working toilet, broken fridge, door not closing to bathroom, threadbare carpet, barely no lights on the stairway to second floor, the overall sense of a room that needed cleaning, loud TV noise from lounge below at midnight (by the manager watching TV), so-called orange juice for breakfast (which was watered down orangeade) then all of this would be expected at a cheap price. However, this was not at a cheap price and the amount charged was in fact more at Lupama than the amount charged at better hotels in town and walkable to restaurants (which we went to and forfeited our non-refundable prepaid night at Lupama). In short: Avoid.

Friendly staff, clean large rooms
the rooms were very large and clean. The bathroom was also modern and clean. The staff were very friendly and let us leave our bags there after we checked out. The pool was not very nice looking so that was a bit disappointing, and the hotel is a bit out of town from the restaurants, but the hotel staff and modern rooms and amenities make up for it.

Wonderful staff. Small pool was great to relax in. Double bad was 2 singles and mattresses constantly slipped so sleep was very uncomfortable

Decent Place
This is a decent place when you need a clean bed and a friendly staff. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The place is a bit of a hike, but a pleasant one, from the heart of El Calafate. We coincided at Lupama on 12/31 and participated in their New Year's Eve party. Lots of fun.

Review of Lupama Hostel
Lupama Hotel is a reasonably priced, clean, functional hotel which provides the traveller with everything they need for a comfortable stay in El Calafate. Sophie went out of her way to sort out the situation with my baggage which had been "lost" by the airline. I'll happily recommend this accommodation to others.

Confotable place!!
Atention, cleanliness, services war great! The only inconvinience I need to mention are: - No cable TV at room all our stay. - Cant pay with credit card. - Distan from Calafate's main street is about 15min walking and taxi charges $8 pesos + o - one way. In general our stay was really confortable and the people at reception have always a big smile and good actitud for serving us. But, the 3 lines above should be mention to next clients or in the webpage.

HORROROSO não recomendo para ninguém esse local!
Chegamos no hotel e fomos informados de que a reserva estava errada, que o quarto considerado era de 02 adultos e 01 criança, porém reservamos para 03 adultos e temos o comprovante do hoteis.com Com isso acontecendo, queriam nos cobrar um valor extra que equivaleria a reserva inteira novamente! Um absurdo completo, e o pior é que tínhamos uma nova reserva para o mesmo hotel. Tivemos que acionar o hoteis.com para trocarmos de hospedagem pois fomos muito, mas muito, mau tratados, eramos mau olhados pelo pessoal da recepção, foram mau educados a ponto de ficarmos com receio de estar dentro do hotel e de deixar nossas coisas la. Eu NÃO recomendo para NINGUÉM esse lugar, foi uma experiência horrorosa que quase terminou com a tranquilidade da nossa viagem de férias. Sem contar que o frigobar tinha restos de iogurte abertos, ou seja, limpeza terrível também!

Disculpe si se sintio mal atendida, pero usted tenia el voucher que nos entregó a nosotros donde figuraba una cama de matrimonio solamente, y ustedes en el hotel se presentaron tres personas de mas de 20 años de edad, queriendo alojarse con una reserva de dos personas, el cual se le informó antes de alojarse que se comunicaran con expedia y ustedes no se comunicaron, prefirieron alojarse y pagar la cama extra, que luego de comunicarnos nosotros con expedia nos informaron que les ivan a realizar la devolución del adicional cobrado, el cual ustedes no nos querian pagar. Por tal motivo nuevamente les pedimos disculpas pero tuvimos que asignarles una habitación triple en vez de una doble, y darle de desayunar a la tercera persona. Saludos

Me gusto el hotel. Y la relacion precio-calidad. Es tranquilo y comodo. Con pileta.Lo unico que el desayuno no era tan fresco. Hubo un problema con la reserva. Porq reserve para 3 y me querian dar para 2 y cobrar el 3ro. Pero lo pudieron solucionar a tiempo.

Estive em dezembro de 2016 nesta Hosteria e me surpreendi ao chegar para o check in e ter que pagar o taxi que me trouxe e que o hotel havia oferecido. Na verdade, eles oferecem o serviço de chamar o taxi e passar as informações do vôo para que o taxista te aguarde na chegada, mas o valor a ser pago a ele é por sua conta. No site da Hosteria, isso não fica claro, inclusive por ter um "presentinho" oferecendo o traslado do aeroporto. Enfim... o hotel é bem localizado, dá pra ir a pé para a rua central, numa caminhada de uns 20 minutos, tem quartos amplos e arejados. O chão tem aquecimento no carpete e as instalações são novas. Os quartos do segundo andar e com vista para o lago são melhores. Não há elevador e é preciso subir as malas pela escada. O café é simples, mas bom. Na época em que lá estive, o gerente não estava e só havia duas estagiárias na recepção, que foram muito simpáticas e prestativas.

Das Hotel liegt etwas außerhalb des Stadtzentrums von calafate. Ca. 10 min Fußweg ins Zentrum. Leckeres, süßes Frühstück. Sehr nettes Personal. Ist empfehlenswert, aber nicht preiswert. Wir hatten einen Sonderpreis, dann ging's.

まず初めにスッタフがみな笑顔でとてもフレンドリーです。フレンドリーと言っても一定の距離はあるのでとても居心地がよかったです。僕は街の地図は持っていたのですが店主とその息子さんかな？地図をプリントアウトしていろいろと説明してくれまし。 当日一番安い部屋を予約してましたが部屋が空いていたようでグレードアップしてくれました。 なのでお礼というわけではないですがフロント横の食堂で夜はビールを頂きました。とてもおいしいです。 ただご飯は、、、、ｗ

Das Hotel ist etwas abgelegen, aber für Trekker sollte das ja eigentlich kein Problem darstellen. Die Ausstattung und der Gesamteindruck ist etwas "muffig", so einiges könnte verbessert und erneuert werden. Dennoch, was man braucht, das bekommt man z.B. Frühstück um 5 Uhr im Extremfall. Sehr familiäre Atmosphäre, sehr freundliches ServiceTeam, viele argentinische Gäste. Insgesamt hab ich mich sehr wohl gefühlt, auch wenn es keinen 5Sterne-Standard gibt.

Chambre pas chauffėe, draps trop petits, moisissures dans la SdB, PDJ de mauvais pensionnat...: rien à voir avec les photos publiées par le site: qq tranches de pain, 2- 3 pâtisseries de la veille ou plus, beurre confitures en vrac, boisson de synthèse à l'orange agitée par des pales dans un grand bocal transparent, depuis quand ?...

L'hotel è bello, confortevole e accogliente. Il personale è veramente in gamba, gentile e disponibile. Per le escursioni si appoggiano ad alcune agenzie che fanno prezzi in linea con la concorrenza. Un poco penalizzati dalla distanza dal centro (circa 1 km) ma il luogo è tranquillo e dalla camera si ha un panorama del lago Argentino veramente bello. Colazione abbondante!
