SINCE THE ARRIVAL TILL THE END, THE HOTEL CREW WAS FANTASTIC. I STAYED THERE FOR 8 NIGHTS AND COULD EVALUATE THOROUGHLY BREAKFAST (EXCELLENT), SERVICES (GREAT), ROOMS AND FACILITIES (INTERNET, FRIDGE, OPTIONAL SERVICES, RESTAURANT) ALL OF THEM VERY, VERY GOOD.
AN EXCELLENT COST X BENEFIT RELATION.
LOCATION IS AWESOME.
I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.

If you like a quieter, smaller and more cozy inn, then this place is for you. As other reviews have stated, you will need a taxi to get into Calafate unless you are in for a long walk. But the staff will cal you a taxi and they are there quite promptly. it ia about 5USD for the taxi to downtown. It has A nice view of the lake, although it is not on the water front. They only key to remember, bring pesos!! They do not accept credit cards, they are cash only.

We received a wonderful surprise when arriving at the hotel, it was modern, beautiful, comfy, it had a great pool and a magnificent view of the lake. No doubt we'll go back whenever we return to Calafate.

We were so pleasantly surprised as to how comfortable this hotel was in this remote area of the globe. Good restaurant, nice spa and a VERY WARM pool.
All staying in Calafate area need to keep in mind that all excursions start between 0700-0900 so there is always traffic in the hotels, regardless of where you stay. With all the outdoors things to do, hopefully, you are one of those getting up early to make it to you excursion.
The hotel is just on the outskirts of town but they have a very convenient shuttle that takes you back & forth. I did not feel inconvenienced by this and we had views of Lago Argentina to boost! The only drawback was that their was a heater but nothing to regulate the temperature to a cooler setting, hence, the 4 rating for comfort. We did go in summer and had to leave the window open to get some ventilation.
Comments about barking dogs that I came across in other reviews are exaggerated. Yes, there are wild dogs and they do get loud at times but it was not incessant and frequent. I've been to Hawaii and the wild chickens and rooster crowing every morning was more frustrating than this. Despite being wild, these dogs were not threatening at all wherever we walked. This experience comes with the territory.
