Lupama Hotel is a reasonably priced, clean, functional hotel which provides the traveller with everything they need for a comfortable stay in El Calafate. Sophie went out of her way to sort out the situation with my baggage which had been "lost" by the airline. I'll happily recommend this accommodation to others.

Stayed in a dorm which I'll probably never do again...place seemed clean and the location is good while staying in El Calafate. Got charged for the meagre continental breakfast, which I thought was included in the price.
We stayed at the lovely Blanca Patagonia for our 4 night stay in El Calafate - the hotel was just outside town making it nice and peaceful with great views yet it was only a short $50 peso taxi ride from the centre of town. We went into town 3 nights of our stay and ate at the hotel restaurant the other. Staff were very friendly and went out of there way for us, for example putting breakfast in the fridge in our room because we were leaving at 5.30am for an excursion. Would definitely recommend!

"Perfect blend of elegant and funky (not too funky)"
Lovely place. There's no reason not to stay here. The rooms have astounding views of a Patagonian lake. You could sit and watch the light change all day long (which, in December, is long, indeed, about 18 hours). And you're not missing anything by not being in the town itself (which is only five minutes away). The place has a lodge-y feel and is gracious, comfortable and lovely in every way. (No AC, though. But we didn't need it.) Augustina, the owner, is lovely and filled-to-the-brim with useful information. And it's near the silly but hilarious/not-to-be-missed "ice bar" at the Glacierium, horseback riding and, of course, the simply breathtaking glacier.
Located next to lago Argentina this is the perfect place to stay. A small hotel with very nice decorated rooms. Wjo doesn't want to have breakfast with o view on the flamingoes. But most of all, the service is one of the best I've ever experienced and trust me, I travel a lot. The personel is not only outstanding in their service but also interested and very friendly.
I had a perfect stay and would defenitely go back if the possibility is there.
Thank you very much!
