“very nice hotel, very modern”

“Great and friendly hotel with excellent customer service”

This hotel was a random choice when going to Eindhoven, Netherlands. We found the hotel to be extremely clean with great employees working there. We wanted a place to wind down after a busy time in London, Paris and Amsterdam. We found it to be perfect. The staff was extremely helpful and people like Eric, Daphne, Lindy, Storm and others were there to help with any of our needs. I would definitely stay there again and I do hope that others find this review helpful. The breakfast was above par and once again had everything. Great hotel! Thank you.

“Convenient, but can do better in Eindhoven.”

Tiny, tiny room, barely enough space to open the bathroom door! Loud, too, not what we were expecting.

“Lovely service, refurbished public areas (bar, breakfast room) but rooms forgotten”

Breakfast at this hotel was amazing. Room was a bit dated with stained carpet and curtains. Bed was very comfortable and large. Good value for money if you are staying for couple of nights and don't expect to hang around in the hotel for long. Swimming pool was nice and clean, so was the finnish sauna. Shame about the music (euro pop - XFactor). It became a bit of a nuisance after while (played in the bar, while having a breakfast and in the swimming pool). They could do with a bit more neutral background music. I felt sorry for the elders.

“fantastic hotel would love to stay, great location, great transport”

stayed here for 4 nights, the room is big very modern and the bathroom had alot of complimentary tolietries, more than most so was happy. there was also a box of teas, hot chocolates etc all refilled every day for us to use and complimentary sparkling and still water, was really lovely. the only bad thing i would say is the cleaners did a poor job, they would leave a biscult or waffle for us which made us feel bad to complain but otherwise the cleaning was awful! empty shampoo bottles we'd used etc would be left in the bathroom, any shampoo or mess was untouched like cream on the shower wall! the hotel is great otherwise, people were nice too, there is free internet in the lobby very useful! would stay again the station is 10 minutes away but it is literally a straight line one main street and your there so easy to get there. if your coming from the airport i advise you to take the airport bus straight outside the airport which will cost 3 euros, the last stop is called eindhoven central station and you get off. from there it is one long walk down the high street and your there! no taxi needed :D had friends in den bosch i advise you to take the bus 156 to den bosch from the central station it is 3 euros or you can take the train, it is a nearby city with lots more to see shops nightlife etc as eindhoven is quite small, but you will love it if you are there for a weekend or few days would love to go back :D!

head up the high street with bars cafes along it, you will get to the station there was 2 department stores and lots of shops to see, also head to den bosch a nearby city by bus or train and it is even more to look at! also club massa is the only proper club in eindhoven it is ok but steer clear of dodgy men...

Getting around

to hop on and off buses you pay 3 euros for a day ticket. you can use this to go anywhere from the airport to other cities. do it!!

“NO COMPASSION”

We came to stay in Park Plaza Mandarin Eindhoven on the 14Th April to 17Th April 2010. On the 18Th April the Icelandic volcano erupted, so on the 17Th April when we were due to go home there were no flights so we asked to stay 2 more nights which we were told we could stay at the original rate. On the 19Th April we were told we had a flight home so we checked out only to discover still no flights. We went back to the hotel to see if we could check back in but were told they had 4 rooms but the rates had doubled. We hadn't taken out insurance so we had to pay ourselves when we explained to the hotel, they couldn't or would not help us. We left the hotel with our bags and didn't know where to go or what to do, so we went for a coffee where we got talking to a dutch lady called Hellen who said she could help us and let us stay in her house for 2 more days. She also fed us and let us use her Internet to help us get home. On the 21st when we finally got a flight home she took us to the train station. She wouldn't take any money and said she was pleased to help. What a relief to find someone in Eindhoven with some compassion.

“Great business hotel”

I stayed here in April 2010 for one night. Eindhoven is a fairly small town and there's not a lot to do around town, but this hotel is a good value. It's clean, the staff is friendly and for what you get it's a good price. The included breakfast is fairly simple, but it's good. The restaurant staff is friendly and will get you coffee, but otherwise it's a buffet with eggs, sausage, breads, etc. The rooms are a decent size for Europe and they are clean. They obviously were updated recently as the decor is fairly modern with a nice LCD tv. I would definitely stay there again.
