I stayed at Breakas with my partner for 5 lovely nights which unfortunately came to an end but we left knowing that we'll definitely be back.
On arrival we were impressed to be greeted with a drink and locally made shell necklace before being shown to our beachfront Fare. We were in Fare 5 which was right next to the restaurant so had some trepidation that we may be kept awake by noisy diners but that wasn't a problem at all. As Breakas doesn't allow kids we found that everyone was there for the peace and solitude rather than for loud parties so didn't really hear a peep at all at night.
There are so many things to rave about that this will go on forever so here's just a few highlights - Sumptuous meals on the beach, cocktails by the pool, reading in the hammock, snorkelling on a coral reef on the doorstep, a 10 min cab ride to town (the taxi system is awesome and so cheap), a beautiful island with great sightseeing. What else can I say? It was perfect.
Also, the locals in Vanuatu have to be commended for being so friendly. Everyone we met, everywhere was so nice and friendly that we felt we knew everyone after only a few days.
I've already thanked my work colleague for recommending Breakas to me and now I'm passing on those recommendations to my friends too.

We had the most relaxing 7 days away I have ever had! I cannot fault this resort at all, it has everything going for it! The most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen also. Very friendly, happy staff and extremely professional managers! They even remember your name! Nothing was too much trouble - all you had to do was ask and they would go out of their way to accommodate. It was like we were there by ourselves most of the time.
We stayed in a garden villa which was very private and relaxing.
The day spa was fabulous as well.
We will definitely be returning!

Villa 25 actually looks like the pictures.
Picked up by Abel from the airport, swung by the dive shop to confirm arrangements, the village fruit/vegatable market and the 'supermarche', then on to Villa 25.
We spent the time unwinding, reading, sleeping, swimming in the infinity pool, snorkelling in the coral off the beach and using the kayaks. A few restaurants, fire twirling and a half day trip to a few locations.
We did some diving with 'Big Blue', including the Advanced Open Water Course. When it suited us we got them to pull up a 100m or so of the beach around 8.30-9am and swam out to the boat. We were then dropped off later and swam back in.
We largely self catered but when you want to go out to restaurants or the fire twirling Shaz (covering for Kris who was on holidays) made bookings and the driver would drop you off and pick you up for a fee - V30k airport pick up, V20k town and return, V50k to firetwirling and return, V70k for various half day trips. They are reliable, safe and living in a 'gated' area it is simpler. I had a minor ear issue from diving and Shaz drove me straight in to a french doctor and it was quickly remedied.
You can eat and relax in your Vila or use the 'luana' (a great common area next to the pool). We had great people in the other two villas and tended to have an evening drink and eat in the common area.
If you just want to unwind for a week you could almost not leave Villa 25 at all.
Impressed received a personal welcome from manager and staff. Owner did not hesitate to move me to a quieter bungalow where I was delighted to have access to nearby pool and had own cooking facilities. A beautiful quiet location so was able to get the rest I needed and was also able to complete the study I planned to do during my stay. Great variety of tours available and the restaurant is top class, with warm and friendly staff who couldn't do enough for me. Thomas, the restaurant manager, is to be especially commended for his professionalism and helpfulness.
Very good place to stay. Affordable price, helpful stuff, a lot of bonuses such as for example kayak and snorkelling equipment hire for free. The only problem had to deal with is to explain the bus driver where the vila is (some of them don't know where to go).
