“Definately would go back! Didn't want to leave!!”

Mangoes was great. The staff were superb and extremely welcoming. Our bungalow had its own balcony looking over the water and was kept very clean and tidy by house keeping. She even folded and stacked my swimming togs and clothes i'd left on a chair! Our shower developed a drip one afternoon and it was fixed right away. The food was absolutely delicious, one of the best places we ate during our entire stay and was reasonable priced when compared to some places and the quality you got. Mangoes is extremely well laid out, we hardly saw any other people until it was happy hour! With 3 pools to choose from, if one is occupied, you can always go to another one! Peace and quiet and simply the best holiday stay we're had!!

“FRIENDLY + QUIET”

SUPER FRIENDLY!!! LOVELY RELAXED SETTING. QUIET, EXCEPT FOR THE ISLAND ROOSTERS - WHICH ARE VOCAL NO MATTER WHAT HOTEL YOU ARE AT. PRIVATE POOL OVERLOOKING LAGOON WITH AIRCON WAS WELL WORTH THE EXTRA.

“We chose well”

Friendly managers and staff. Nice and quiet location. Just far enough out of town - 20 minute walk. The hotel and grounds are well maintained. Tour guide in the hotel everday at 8am for an hour. She gave great recommendations. Hotel restaurant food and service is very good. You can exchange your key for a pass and take a 5 min walk down to the resort below for free use of activities. TV reception was poor even though cable - apart from the sports channel. Who wants to watch TV when there's a lovely view from your deck. Much better to sit on the deck with a glass of vino and read. The room has glasses plates etc but take your own corkscrew! We did.

“Great facilities, food and staff”

After spending 2 nights sharing a treehut with rats up Tanna, this was blissful!! We took a room overlooking the lagoon and with a private pool. While the weather didn't see us using the pool, having the amount of space and privacy we did was awesome. We never ventured from the property for two days as we just didn't need to. The restaurant food and the staff were amazing. Highly recommended!

An overall wonderful experience! And a special KUDOS to Rose the Manager, who went out of her way in assisting me with a passport drama. The staff were possitivily SUPERB and I will remember a few of them always! Tankyu Tomas!!

“Wouldn't go back”

As a solo traveller i had a few issues with my stay at this resort. The first started as soon as I left immigration. No hotel transfer. There was a team from the resort there at the airport but they refused to take me as i didn't have a transfer slip. I then had to find my own way. Upon arrival, I spoke to the owner Sarah about the situation and I was offered a transfer for my way back and a passcode to access the internet. Although, it rained pretty much 80% of the time I was there, i was able to make use of their extensive DVD collection. My next problem came upon departure, I had to 'prove' (on my laptop) that my package came with breakfast included. I was made to pay for both my departure transport and the internet password even though i had only used it once for one email home to tell family i had arrived safely! I gave up the fight there and then. Not worth spoiling my holiday buzz. Food and drinks are expensive even at happy hour. The Holiday Inn resort further down the hill (which can be accessed via a dirt track) had a far better atmosphere and facilities. Their cocktails were splendid, and meals far better. How nice to be able to relax on a hammock by the water front at the Holiday Inn. The staff at Mangoes are the true asset to the resort.
