I was very impressed with the staff and their attention to detail. Everyone was friendly and remembered details about my preferences. From the mornings when the staff offer me a to-go coffee to the evenings when we were offered a sample of a new wine on the menu. The exercise facility was excellent and had more than everything I could want (including towels) - it was also extremely clean. This was a fantastic stay!
Getting a little dated but it was clean and comfortable for the price. Only complaint is we stayed on the fourth floor and the water pressure for the shower was a joke. I have stayed in at least 20 hotel rooms and this shower had by far the worst pressure.

The Motel has been completely remodeled. The beds are soft and comfortable. Good TV with cable and free WI-FI. The location is also convenient (Southgate area). It is across restaurants, Walmart, and other retail stores. Located in between the Edmonton International Airport and Edmonton's City Centre.
While the beds were wonderfully soft, the plumbing was rather noisy. We could hear the water running in other guests' showers. The continental breakfast consisted of left-overs by 9.30 AM, which was kind of disappointing.

The room I booked was large, with two queen's and a sofa bed. It included microwave and fridge. Breakfast was included. Simple but enough.
The hotel looks old - seems that had its time in the past. However it was clean.
I went to Edmonton for a concert at Rexal and think I did a very good choice in staying at Argyl. The price was very good for what it offers.
It was easy to get to the concert and the employee front the front desk was very kind in printing a map and giving me directions.

South of Edmonton’s downtown core, and across the North Saskatchewan River, is the University of Alberta. The city’s most popular nightlife is found in the bars and restaurants along Whyte Avenue. The city’s vibrant theatre district is located here as well. Farther south, suburban developments and shopping malls mix with green space and golf courses.
