Hi Jessica,I feel your review is a bit unfair.Firstly you booked a 24 bed MIXED DORM with a shared bathroom. This means that the dorm is mixed gender and has 24 beds. We cannot specify who or what gender books the dorm as it clearly states mixed.There were other room/dorm choices to choose from when you made your reservation as we have female only dorms and 6 bed and 9 bed mixed ensuite dorms.The other guests in the dorm did not book in as one group. We had a number of different nationalities in that dorm. If you felt uncomfortable you could have come to reception and one of our staff members would have moved you to another dorm. Good evening. I am sorry to hear of such an occurrence here at The West End Hostel. In regards to the double payment - after the initial contact you were asked to provide us with proof of the double payment. As this was not received we were unable to proceed with a refund. In regards to staff rudeness to another guest - we have no knowledge of such an occurence, nor have we received a notice of complaint. Should this have happened, we would have rectified the situation as soon as we had knowledge. However, we have not. Lastly, the statement about "foreigners" is a total lie. We have recently undergone a recent refurbishment, and based upon previous feedback, the Director wanted to create more floorspace and provide a modern, European style of dorm room. As the building is listed, we are restricted in what we can do to the size of the rooms, so by installing the triple bunk beds, there is more space in the dorms.
