“Great Hotel”

This is a great hotel and is in a wonderful location for touring Edinburgh. The staff are very friendly and have much to offer in the way of local restaurant tips & travelling advice. Our stay at the Knight's Residence contributed substantially to the enjoyment of our trip.

“Very nice place to stay in edinburgh, but doesnt like the location”

the hotel staff was nice and helpful.. the room is decent and clean, with all the things you can expect from a 5* apartment. It even includes a loaf of bread, several packs of cereals, butter, various flavours of jam, milk, orange juice, etc as a welcome gift! only the location bit is the thing which we did not give a 5 to it. It is a bit far away from the waverley station,(although you can take a taxi which costs you only 5 mins!) Yet it is close to the grassmarket and Royal Mile. I would highly recommend anyone to stay in this hotel during their stay in this fascinating city, Edinburgh!

“Great Service and Location”

Clean, comfortable, and very well appointed budget hotel. We were in an "economy" suite, yet everything we could imagine needing for an extended stay was provided-- very good quality refrigerator, stove, microwave, toaster, dishes and dishwasher, flat-screen high definition TV(!), bathroom fixtures and bed/bedding, etc. Paint, carpet, and furniture in good shape. Easy ten minute walk to Old Town Edinburgh. Highly recommended.

“Didn't want to leave”

A perfect home away from home. Apartment was in excellent condition, beds & sofas were really comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Markets, post office, bank & pharmacy all right around the corner. The location is great, you can walk to a lot of the sights even if you're only a fairly active person.

My family of four (2kids) stayed here for the holloween break. Fantastic appartment,Child friendly, presents for the kids sitting on their bed on our arrival, nice touch. lARGE LCD t.v. big selection of D.V.D.'s and tapes. Staff were very friendly and willing to assist. For a family it beats any hotel !

“Plenty of space, perfect location with secure car park”

We were sorry that we were only staying one night, 2 bed apartment was perfect for our stay and very well equipped. Breakfast pack would have been sufficient for nearly a week and staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Another really big plus is the secure car park. Only minor downside was a wardrobe door off its runner and the shower in the en suite was looking a little tired.

“Perfect famil retreat.”

Stayed at this hotel with my husband and two young children the first weekend in October half-term. Everything was perfect. We had arranged for Tesco to deliver shopping in advance of our stay but the hotel welcome basket of cereals, bread, juice etc was brilliant anyway. The kids used the DVD service which was great for them in the evening after a day walking miles around Edinburgh. The location was ideal right near Grassmarket/the castle and we popped back to the apartment several times in a day to relax/change. My daughter left a new cuddly toy monkey in her bed on the final day and was distraught when we arrived home without it. I called the hotel right away and they found it and put it in the post to us the next day which was fantastic. The only gripe was that the mattress on the double bed in our room was very saggy and the bed creaked every time my husband moved, so much so that he ended up sleeping on the floor!

“First Class Travel”

The Knight Residence was outstanding in all respects. I have no hesitation in recommending it to fellow travellers. There are a couple of local supermarkets very close by and a handy breakfast pack was provided. A monor negative: There are two lap dancing bars and a strip joint at the end of the street but they did not intrude upon our stay at all and we hardly noticed they were there to be honest. Walkable to most central areas within 20mins. We arrived by train and took a taxi to and from the station for around a fiver
