“Pleasent Surprise”
We were pleasently surprised by the level of attention to detail and thought gone into making our stay at Knight's residence comfortable and enjoyable. Little things like a loaf of bread, spread and cerials were provided in the kitchen, although breakfast was not charged. Very welcoming staff doing justice to scottish hospitality. We highly recommand this hotel for all home comfort, proximity to Royal mile, will stay at Knight's residence every time we are in Edinburgh.
“Highligh Recommended!”
Very comfortable, well equipped and maintained apartment. Everything you need are there (all the appliances, dishwasher tablet, laundry powder), even comes with complimentary breakfast! Supermarket just round the corner which is perfect for self catering. The rooms are clean and very comfortable bed. We even got our own Christmas tree!
“Loved these apartments”
We had a very enjoyable stay at the Knight Residence. Reception staff were very helpful and even though they had double booked our room we were more than happy with the alternatives we were offered. Would definitely use this place again. Location was fairly central, bit hilly but then most of Edinburgh is. Received a lovely welcome breakfast pack which was very good and included everything we needed.
“Just perfect”
Quiet, comfortable, spacious, good location, great value for money, and exemplary service. We spent three nights here in November, in a one-bedroon 'Superior Apartment'. It's a bit tricky to find if you're driving, especially with Edinburgh's ongoing road works, but well worth it. The welcome was warm, the apartment well-equipped. It's close enough to the attractions, but not so close as to be noisy. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
“Nice Place”
Great service, great apartment. The Knight Residence gets glowing reviews, except for the fact that it's located in a bit of a dicey neighborhood. It's nicely located, just around the corner from Grassmarket, but there are two strip clubs across the street. (Hey, maybe you'd like that kind of thing....)
“Great hotel and locaton”
Great hotel and location. Secure ample parking at a small fee per night. Quiet area but near to Grassmarket and the Castle, museums etc. Great staff, friendly and professional.
“Knight Residence Aparthotel, Edinburgh”
Just returned from a 6 day stay at the Knight Residence Aparthotel in Edinburgh, Scotland. We loved our apartment. It was a 5 minute walk to everything in the old town of Edinburgh. We were out early in the morning and late at night and never felt unsafe. The folks running the hotel could not have been more accomodating. They helped us book 2 great tours of the highlands (rabbies -- I highly recommend it). They set us up with extra bedding when we had friends come in to visit for 2 days as well as parking. The apartment itself had two large bedrooms and two good sized bathrooms. The kitchen was well stocked and the living room comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.
“Great apartment in old Edinburgh”
This hotel is a jewel in Edinburgh if you want to get away from hotel rooms. It's a couple blocks from the Grasshopper area of the old part of the city, with a Sainsbury Local just around the corner. A newer building, it's well appointed. It was nice to get a break from traditional hotel rooms with a 2 bedroom condo. Still some good restaurants nearby for dinner, but you can take a break for breakfast and lunch at restaurants with the condo. Very friendly and accomodating staff, parking in a locked lot out back that they'll take you to. Easy walk to Edinburgh castle, which you can see from the street outside the hotel.
“Excellent apartments”
The members of staff were very friendly and helpful. The apartment was clean and well maintained. I would definitely recommend The Knight Residence and would use it again.
“Great place to see the Royal Mile”
We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment during our stay in Edinburgh. The room was very clean, everything worked well, the service was excellent, and it was very close tot eh Grassmarket and the Royal Mile. There is a grocery store almost across the street, very convenient. The only thing that was a bit unfortuante is the strip clubs next to the hotel. When we left at night to walk to dinner, there were always people hanging out on the side walk in front of these places. If this doens't concern you, then it's a great place to stay while visiting Edinburgh.
