“Looking forward to returning”
Beautiful little hotel situated on the outskirts of Edinburgh and next to a canal. It is very modern but still full of character and charm. Spotlessly clean and comfortable with very friendly and attentive staff, With a restaurant and bar and given the choice to eat in either this suited my preference to have a more informal evening. I have to say the evening meal and Scottish breakfast were 1st class. Overall excellent I will have no problem returning there, something that my itinery requires me to do every 6 weeks or recommending it to friends and colleagues.
“delightful hotel with wonderful staff”
We stayed two nights. The room was small (because the inn is very old) but absolutely charming, with a very recently renovated, sparkling clean bathroom, lovely bed iinen and towels, a gorgeous view of the canal and surrounding trees and cottages. Ratho is a charming little village that is actually very close to Edinburgh (and right beside the bus stop to the centre of the city) but feels a million miles away from urban sprawl.Everyone was friendly, helpful and welcoming. I would readily stay there again if visiting Edinburgh. (As it was festival time the quiet location was an added bonus.) Oh -- breakfast was delicious, with vegetarian optons including veggie haggis!
“The Bridge Inn”
The Bridge Inn is conveniently located close to the Edinburgh airport and was very reasonably priced compared to the surrounding accommodations options. The rooms were nice, clean, and the bathrooms looked like they had been recently renovated. We were skeptical when first pulling up to The Bridge Inn, the outside signage looked a bit shabby, but when we got inside the staff was friendly, the restaurant and bar were busy, and the rooms were very nice.
“Bridge Inn - fantastic hotel”
This is a wonderful small hotel, I have now stayed here twice in different rooms and they are lovely. Unfortunately I did not get a chance to sample the breakfast as both times I had a very early flight. WIll be back
