“Well Priced Nice Atmosphere”

Extremely friendly reception. Nice to be in the midst of an academic atmosphere of such tradition in a good facility.

“Excellent Value”

Great hotel with a cracking breakfast for a very reasonable price. The proximity of the bus stop is another great aspect of this hotel as is the free parking. I highly recommend this hotel!

“great place to stay”

The hotel is located in a green site (part of the university residences). Both the the castle and Holyrood Palace are easily walkable (I'm in my late sixties) through beautiful parkland. Breakfast has a wide choice of high quality fruit, cheeses and traditional cooked food - all served with a smile. Eggs and bacon had been cooked too far in advance, but this is the only beef about an otherwise outstanding stay.

“This is a great place to stay”

We really liked this hotel. Clean, spacious rooms, great breakfast, nice staff. The location is also great for sightseeing and only a short taxi ride to all of the major sights.

“Edinburgh's Secret Little Gem”

A hidden gem of a hotel deep within the University Campus, with a lovely room and a nice breakfast and Parking! It is not in the centre of town, but because of the university, transport links are good and there are dozens of places to eat within walking distance

“First time in Edinburgh”

This hotel was a real surprise. It was a real value for the money and we enjoyed eating in the cafeteria too. It isn't for anyone for wants a luxurious place with lots of amenities, but for us it was the best. Clean, convenient, and safe. Our room was large and comfortable. We had a bit of trouble with the TV, and a staff member came over immediately to adjust it. There needs to be more lighting in the bathroom, but the size was immense compared to the tiny hotels we had been in on our tour of Scotland.

“Lovely Hotel”

Lovely hotel, our room was spacious and very clean, and had been recently refurbished. Staff were helpful and polite. We also got a really good breakfast every morning.

“Brilliant Hotel”

Stayed in this hotel for a weekend and found it to be superb. The room was modern and very comfortable, with flat screen TV, tea and coffee, shower gel etc... The staff were very friendly and helpful and the complimentary breakfast set us up for the day! It is a 15 minute walk to Waverley station, so is well situated for the city centre. Behind the hotel is Holyrood Park and Arthur's Seat. It was very quiet on a night, despite it being amongst the University of Edinburgh halls of residence.

“Would certainly choose this again”

Interesting hotel located on Edinburgh University campus with fairly secure free parking. Nicely appointed room with fine resolution LCD TV and smart bathroom with modern fittings and excellent shower. Pleasant breakfast room with good choice from the buffet and/or freshly cooked bacon, eggs, etc. Service at all times first class. 25 mins walk to Princes Street or bus stop right outside.

“Very Impressed”

This hotel exceeded our expections. Staff friendly & helpful, rooms comfortable, warm and spacious. Location was fantastic - next to Arthurs Seat - a healthy 20 min walk to the Royal Mile. The breakfast was superb as were the breakfast staff. And an added bonus was a free parking space. 10 out of 10. We've already recommended this hotel to friends.
