“Cheap and cheerful, would go back”

Great place to stay. Excellent breakfast, huge choice. Room was clean and comfortable. When we travel to a city we just want a room with bed, toilet and shower as we are out most of the time. This is just the place. Fantastic views of Arthurs Seat when eating breakfast. It is about 10/15 minutes walk to the City Centre or there are numerous buses which are very cheap. I will look out for other University accommodation from now on.

“Excellent Budget Hotel”

This hotel is excellent for someone travelling on a budget or someone who isn't planning on spending a lot of time at the hotel. It was in a great location - just a 5 minute bus ride to the town center or a 10-15 minute walk. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable - what more do you need!

“Best deal for the Fringe”

fantastic value, room was small, but clean. Buffet breakfast had everything. Nice and quiet, a comfortable walk from the Royal Mile. This will be my first choice next year.

“Wonderful value...as good or better than most hotels.”

We chose this hotel for economy. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the location (due to the nearby bus stop) fit our needs quite well. The room was a typical dorm room in size but it had an in-room bathroom, a TV, and was cleaned daily like in a hotel. The included breakfast was amazing, more than enough to keep us energized through a morning of sightseeing. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

“Edinburgh”

Great location for those staying for a week allowing you to do everything from cook to laundry in one building. 24 hour reception coverage and the willingness to go out of their way to help you in any way possible from pizza deliveries to hospital locations!

“Basic but excellent value for money”

This never promised to be anything other than a university hall of residence - so the room was small, the furniture basic and functional, and the meals self-service in a huge canteen. Students have however acquired ensuite bathrooms since I was at college. All in all, this was a brilliant and economical way to stay within easy walking distance of the centre of Edinburgh. Highly recommended if you don't mind basic facilities.
