Great stay on the waterfront

Posted 28-Jun-2015
Very cheap place to stay for the quality of room and apartment. 2 bathrooms and bedrooms overlooking the ocean. Very comfortable and safe feeling with quick bus ride to downtown. Good location. Nice large apartment

Almost five stars

Posted 21-Jun-2015
Pros: the extra space that an apartment offered, proximity to the city centre.
Cons: The carpets were badly marked and looked dirty, though they had been vacuumed - replace with laminate? Car parking was difficult at busy times
Location: great view, and nice walk on the water front. 24 hour Asda nearby. Number 10 bus route. Tennis Centre nearby. Restaurants and shops nearby
this is a great alternative to a hotel room if you are a family. Only ten minutes to the City Centre by car, and with a bus stop right next to the apartment blocks. Next to the sea (Forth) it has good views and a place to walk. Couple of restaurants pretty close by, and a large 24 hour supermarket as well. I noticed the David Lloyd tennis centre is ther too, though we didn't use it. The apartment we had was two bedroom, two bathroom. It had everything we needed and it was great to have the extra space of a living room and kitchen. Apartments seemed pretty secure as well, with an entry door on the main entry way to the block. The furnishings in the apartment are a little cheaply made, but quite adequate. Everything was clean and well stocked. Walls could have done with some fresh paint - bit scuffed.

Excellent abode by the sea

It was one of the best apartment hotel we have ever stayed. It was very spacious, the kitchen facilities were excellent and the view of the sea was great. Overall a very satisfying experience.

Fab Apartment - didn't want to leave!

Posted 11-Apr-2015
Pros: See above!
Cons: A little tired - coat of paint, mold in shower but on the grand scale of things unfaultable...
Location: Location unbeatable - didn't do as much as we had expected as the view from every room in the apartment was so stunning we didn't want to leave..
Got an upgrade as it was my birthday and I dared ask! Absolutely awesome was the first impression on entering the apartment.. The views are unbeatable and undescribable. I wish I owned it!

Excellent apartment, really clean and complimentary tea and coffee in apartment on arrival. Fantastic view of the Firth of Forth. Great location, bus stop 50 metres away, bus to central Edinburgh in 20 minutes.

Good base for Edinburgh

Posted 04-Apr-2015
Pros: The location and size of accommodation
Cons: Decoration looking a bit tired, few maintainance issues, window wouldn't open, flaking paint around bedroom window frame, all easily fixed.
Location: Good base for Edinburgh. Frequent bus service from western harbour to city centre and Ocean Terminal close by for some shops, cinema and eating out.
Lovely location, easy access via bus to city centre. Have stayed a few times now. Views from flat are wonderful. Supermarket close by for food shopping. Ocean terminal short distance away if you prefer to eat out.

Comfortable enough at a reasonable price.

We stayed for 2 nights with two small children. The 2 bedroom flat was a great size, overlooking the sea. The beds were really comfortable and bedding & towels were clean and fresh. The block is a wee bit out of the way, which is fine if that's what you're looking for and there is parking. Shops and restaurants are nearby and the centre of Leith is only 5 minute drive. The flat was a bit tired, in need of a wee bit of maintenance and a really good clean (curious toddler fingers find all the bits which have been missed). We only used the shower as the bath hasn't been cleaned properly in a while. The fridge on the other hand was overly cleaned and was reeking of bleach, so we didn't use it. The dish drainer, some dishes & the tea towel were all grubby. When we arrived to check in at 1pm we were sent away as the flat wasn't ready and asked to return after 2pm, the booking details did say check in from 2pm so that was fair enough, returning at 2:30pm we then had a 20 minute wait for the receptionist to return from his break, thankfully we could shelter in our car from the wind & rain.

Well sized apartment, clean but well worn. Check in easy. Check out (different person) impersonal.
