Nice hotel close to the harbour

Posted 24-Nov-2014
The Apartments are ideal for a couple or family just looking for a nice relaxing quite break or a shopping trip. Good parking for your car or 2 mins from the bus stop and a twenty minute bus journey to the centre of Edinburgh. This is the second time we have stayed here and will stay again.

Central location for our interest which was golf

Posted 05-Oct-2014
Pros: Quiet and managments quick response to any problem.
Cons: A soup dish in the shower would be handy.
Location: The Royal Yacht Britannia was very close by so when it rained that was an interesting visit and the shops in the attached mall were handy.
We lucked outwith 5 of the 6 days being clear and the last day being rainy. By that time we had done we wanted to do and it was good to rest.

visited Edinburgh over weekend. Hotel-apartment v.good.Also had an ensuite.Ample cooking pots. One of the twin bed mattress was old, needs changing.Good location/parking safe.i don't know if it was only us,but there was a peculiar fishy smell in the hotel corridor/lift and surrounding. Lovely place by the sea.

The apartment was excellent .

Posted 28-Aug-2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: Perhaps an Onsite shop !
Location: Location was very nice and peacefull with fabulous views. Ocean terminal was just round the corner but the bus would take you into the city centre
The apartment was excellent with the bus stop right outside to take you into princess street or beyond .The parking was excellent with the option of going underground. The apartment had everything you would need down to tea and milk in the fridge .The matresses were excellent and even an en-suite in the main bedroom which was a nice suprise .Highly recommend and would stay there again.

Our stay in Leith waterfront

Posted 27-Jul-2014
Pros: Nice enough location, Food & drink outlets near by. Bus stop 3 min walk. Free car parking.
Cons: One of the beds was very uncomfortable, The sink tap was very wobbley & needs re-fixing. The dish washer had been used but not emptied.
Overall it was just what we required & priced ok as well. there were however a few niggles. The lift was out of order on our arrival, but was back in service at end of day 2.

Luxurious apartment

Posted 23-Jul-2014
We booked this area as my parents previously stayed. It is in the outskirt of Edinburgh about 15 minutes drive away depending on traffic. There is also a bus service that runs from the apartment (Western Harbour) into city centre. The apartment is modern, spacious and well-kept. They have all the facilities you need. There is a also a large ASDA supermarket near by (2 minutes by car or 15 minutes walk) where you can get groceries. However the service was not as good as the hardware, the receptionist didn't seem interested when I checked in and kept saying "all the information is on the sheet" when I asked him the question. On the first night, the window in the rooms wouldn't open and so we asked to have it fixed but no one came in the following two days. The extractor fan in the bathroom was very weak/ not working (as we couldn't hear any sound and the steam from shower is not being ventilated, so we asked the receptionist and he said that it's working silently. I was very happy with the hardware of the apartment however the service needed improving.

Good enough for a weekend away in Edinburgh

Posted 13-Jul-2014 on Hotels.com
When arriving the front desk said the room isn't ready yet (this was in the afternoon) and never offered for us to leave our bags there and come back shortly. The hotel is about a 15 minute bus ride in to the city centre, there is a 24 hour Asda across the road from it also. The apartment was nice enough and had everything we needed. The front desk made a massive point on "no smoking" and there was stickers on the wall in the apartment re-iterating this, however there was cigarette ash everywhere when we checked in!
