“Nice and spacious”

Apartment was spacious and clean, couldnt quite figure out how to work the shower but overall i would recommend. If you dont mind walking the location is okay but there is a bus stop nearby. Excellent value for money.

“Good at the price”

If you want to be in the centre of Edinburgh at a reasonable price, this is a good place. It's self-catering and there is a supermarket within a 5-minute walk. There is plenty of space so you'll be comfortable for a stay of several days to a couple of weeks. Getting to the hotel by car is not for the faint hearted and my advice is to avoid the peak hours. Furnishings were of good quality and the kitchen was well equipped, albeit with some unmatched crockery and cutlery. The shower in my apartment was poor - they need to spend a little more for quality fittings. All things considered, this hotel delivers value for money. NOTE: There is a daily charge for parking your car in their parking area. As the parking area is for the exclusive use of guests, I thought that was a bit unreasonable.

“Home from home.”

This was our third time using Canon Court Apartments and have not been disappointed on any occasion, we had a two bedroom apartment and it was very spacious with large kitchen, dining room / lounge, and two nice bedrooms. The location was ideal with a Tesco supermarket five minutes away and a bus stop adjacent to the apartment and Princes street just 15/20 minute walk. Will definitely return.

“Showing it's age”

A convienient location and clean but the decor and furnishings are showing signs of age. We have used Canon Court frequently over the past 5 to 6 years and have noted a gradual decline. The sofa and armchair were sagging and uncomfortable. The shower hose had been replaced with a long plastic hose that kinked and had to be held to get a water flow. At times the bath/shower changeover would not function. This happened in another room during a previous visit and in both instances we filled the bath using the shower! This time the shower head did not fit the holder and consequently the shower jet was horizontal and could not be pointed downwards unless held at the same time as the hose. The lift functioned but seemed to have a mind of its own. What maintenance that had been done appeared to be on the cheap. Our room was equipped with 2 x 30" beds. First time we have had this in this establishment. Despite this moan we would use the apartments again purely because of convienience. If things deteriorate further then we will review.

“Totally satisfactory”

“Will Go Back!”

Absolutely loved this apartment/hotel! It is very comfortable and the location is great. The front desk personnel were brilliant! This is definitely a great place to stay while in Edinburgh.

Area recommendations

Buses stop right out the front door and you can get around Edinburgh very easily. It's a beautiful city with many great museums and shops. The Royal Mile is worth exploring.

“Wish we had booked for a longer stay.”

Very clean and comfortable. Nice to be able to cook a meal and relax with your feet up while travelling. Good walking distance to shopping and site seeing. Definitely will return next time we go to Scotland.

Enjoyed the scenic train trip from London. We walked everywhere we could in Edinburgh and enjoyed it all. Loved the castle. People were great. Loved that wee bit of Scotland!
