“Aparthotel Edinburgh”
Had wonderfull stay, very clean room, spacious and modern. Kitchen had just the right amount of appliances, dish washer, coffee making facilities, washing machine, ... Room was cleaned every day and toiletries replaced. Very close to the old centre of Edinburgh, very friendly staff. Would very much recommend!
“Hidden treasure”
Hidden from the main street by a short distance it is in a fantastic location and has excellent facilities. We had our own laundry kitchen and two bathrooms just for three people. This was great so we oils cook our own meals. The location made it easy to get into the ity center but even easier to some of the main attractions
“A very happy stay at the Holyrood Aparthotel”
Close to the main parts of the University of Edinburgh, literally paces from the Royal Mile (nearer the bottom than the top), fanatically clean and modern, friendly 24 hour staff. Very reasonable parking charge; be sure to reserve your parking spot ahead of time. We stayed in the smallest accommodation, a studio, and were entirely comfortable. But what an additional pleasure it must be to be on the top floors in the larger apartments, with a view of Arthur's Seat! The Starbucks is a short trip across the courtyard and into the Royal Mile -- again, incredibly thoughtful and friendly folks -- and free wifi (wifi in the hotel being fairly priced but a tad dear at 5 pounds per day per device). Also close to my favorite kiltmaker. As this is essentially a short-term apartment rental, do not expect a fancy lobby, gym or room service. But the daily maid service was excellent, the kitchen even in our smallish room very nice and efficiently laid out, very nice flat screen TV for late night movie watching, and did I mention fanatically CLEAN? Which is not even terribly important to me, but I keep mentioning it because it stood out so. I marked down on comfort, probably unjustly, because the couch was not quite posh, although just fine, and some couch pillows would have been nice for lounging. Bedding very nice. As for the neighborhood, the hotel is in a "close" (interior of a block), so there's not much there. But plenty within easy walking, including Edinburgh Castle. Recommend.
“Great value in city centre location”
Walking distance from Waverley train station to great 2 bed 2 bath apartment which met all our needs. Highy recommended
“Will definately go back”
Will definately use again, however there was some building work next to the hotel, couldn't get a lie in, the noise of the truck unloading and the flashing light of the vehicles! Started at 7am so if your a early bird its okay! Within 10minutes walk to the town centre, very easy to find your way round. Definately soo much to see and do...best short break so far.
“Impressed with the quality of the hotel.”
A nice child freindly hotel, not a long walk to princess street .
“Most of the convenience of home”
Overall I liked everything about the hotel/apartment. It is a little difficult to find, but with directions from people on the street I made my way. Loved having complete kitchen including washer/dryer. The interior of the hotel was quiet, but the outside noises were a bit of a pain. However, that may be common because of the busy area. I would stay here again.
“The best aparthotel I've stayed in”
I cannot express how impressed I was with this accommodation. The staff were friendly & helpful; the bedrooms were large and everything was very clean. What impressed me most was what they supplied with the room. Dishwasher and washing machine/dryer with detergent supplied for both; great cooking facilities and utensils; coffee, tea and sugar with enough for a couple of cups each day; fresh carton of milk in the fridge on arrival. Compared to other aparthotels I've stayed in this was by far the most well equipped. Great location just one block back from the Royal Mile which was accessible through a lane way. I would highly recommend this to any travellers who like to have their own cooking facilities and will be staying there if I every get back to Edinburgh.
“A lovely place to stay in Edinburgh!”
Lovely, clean, modern and spacious two bedroom, two bathroom apartment. Superb location just a two minute walk from the Royal Mile. The apartment was well equipped, with a fully fitted kitchen - fridge dish washer etc. The bathrooms were spotless and the bedrooms were spacious. My only very minor moan is that the beds were a little hard for me and the sofa in the lounge needed some scatter cushions (but I am being very picky....)
“Nice Location”
Nicely located just off the Royal Mile and decent apartment.
