Good location but no free internet access

Posted 04-Aug-2015
Pros: Located close to airport but excellent access to public transport to city centre
Well located, staff helpful and free parking a bonus but no wifi was a big negative

Nice hotel handy for exploring Edinburgh.

Posted 01-Aug-2015
Pros: Very convenient and reasonably priced hotel. The pool was a bonus.
Cons: The food in the sampan restaurant was pricey.
Location: Right next door to Edinburgh zoo, hotel is on bus route to centre of Edinburgh, only a short trip.
Hotel was ideal for a short family break. Good location. The hotel was clean and the staff were helpful.

Good choice for families

Posted 25-Jul-2015
Cons: Wifi should be free, rooms with two double beds would be great, but this seems hard to find in Europe. General decor could use updating.
Next to zoo, on bus route into city, excellent free breakfast, kids eat free each meal, swimming pool.

Overnight stay with kids

Posted 14-Jul-2015
We stayed there for one night with 2 kids. We had a pleasant stay, the staff was very helpfull and the atmosphere was very friendly. Very convenient for visiting the zoo and as a base for Edinburgh. The nice surprise for us was the 2 single beds for our kids instead of the normal double sofa bed

Wish I had known how busy it would be...

Posted 07-Jul-2015
Pros: Pool was nice and Lobby/bar eating are were well presented.
Cons: The comfort of my son's bed was far to hard (pull out settee bed) the mattress was only a couple of inches thick and you could feel the metal frame.
Arrived and check in was fine, found out after check in that there was an International Cricket event on. Spa and pool facilities were too busy for a sunday evening to use.

Close to the zoo

Room not very comfortable. Above the car park so lots of noise outside. Bathroom had a very low sink and had to crouch over when shaving. Shower . Temperatures not constant. One minute cold next warm. Wouldn't return.

Good value hotel. Rooms looking a bit tired these days and restaurant staff could do with a lesson in noticing their customers want their attention a bit quicker, but convenient for Zoo, great pool and jacuzzi, and not far from airport.

Over charged too many extras...

You have to pay for internet... Mean on coffee and tea in rooms, no fridge.
