“Best. Staff. Ever.”

The staff is warm, welcoming, honest, friendly, and extremely helpful. I left my phone at the hotel and they conducted a thorough search throughout the hotel and were able to ship it back to me. I imagine in other places this would've been a lost cause, but they were truly excellent with treating their customers.

not a huge room, but great location. friendly staff and clean rooms. loved it. friday and saturday nights kinda busy due to clubs, but rest of the week is quiet. just steps below royal mile and the castle. can't wait to go back.

Twin room was a bit small but spotlessly clean. All the staff were exceptionally friendly, reception, bar staff and cleaners. Great location. One of the others in our group said the shower wasn't very good, ours was excellent.

As everyone has mentioned the location is fabulous. The breakfast was great and everyone working there was friendly and helpful, I was lucky I guess because I had the lift go right to my room which was clean and cozy. I found it a great deal. I would definately stay there again.

I had a wonderful stay at the Grassmarket Hotel. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and my room was clean, well-appointed and very quiet at night. Inclusive breakfasts in the pub next door were a definite bonus, providing a full cooked meal - enough to keep me going for most of the day! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a very central, very reasonably-priced place to stay.

“Great location”

The Grassmarket is right on the Royal Mile. Perfect location. We stayed on the 4th floor, which only has two rooms. The room itself was quite large and had a great city view. The staff was quite helpful when asked for opinions and directions. Superb value.

Adjacent pub (so stay on 3rd or 4th floor if you want really quiet, though even 2nd floor), great service, clean rooms with good shower, can't beat the location. I'll stay here again!!

The staff is nice. They helped us a lot. The Royal Mile is almost round the corner and the hotel is placed in a safe area. This is great when you come back to the hotel late at night.
