Great location, great accommodation

Great location, within 15 minutes walking to the city which was far enough to avoid the crowds from the festivals. Friendly and help staff, rooms were clean and kitchen was well equipped.

Secure car park, 8 minutes walk to princes street

Perfect central location, Tesco Extra round the corner to stock up fridge. Sachets of coffee, tea etc supplied which I didn't expect. We had two twin rooms. Plenty space for all of us - 2 adults and 2 teens. Will definitely use these apartments again.

Convenient suite hotel near Edinburgh Castle

Posted 15-Jul-2014
Pros: The location was close to downtown Edinburgh. There were two cafes nearby, as well as a Tesco food market. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Not much. The hotel fully met my expectations.
Location: The location was within easy walking distance from downtown. The immediate neighbourhood was not that attractive, but that was not a priority for me.
I chose this hotel as an alternative to more centrally located (and more expensive) 3 and 4-star hotels nearer to the Royal Mile. The Fountain Court Apartments were an excellent choice, especially so because of the small provided kitchen and the protected parking. There is a small Tesco less than two blocks away, so buying food was simple on foot. Getting to the tourist sights in downtown Edinburgh took only slightly more time than the central hotels, and I did not mind the extra exercise.

Comfortable place to stay, good location

Posted 24-Feb-2014
Pros: Space of an apartment, location, parking.
Cons: Too hot!
Location: We went to see a show at the Lyceum, strolled around the centre of Edinburgh browsing shops and galleries and had a great meal out.
Great place to stay, easy to find, friendly staff, secure parking available, nice to be upgraded to a larger apartment. Usual hotel quips of too hot and uncomfortable pillows! Minor gripe that the cooker had been used but not cleaned - quickly sorted.

Good Value, Good Location, We'll be back

Posted 03-Jan-2014 on Hotels.com
The apartments are very close to Haymarket Train Station. As we were flying in and out of Edinburgh and heading to Glasgow for the Celtic Hibs game it was an ideal base. We were on the early flight in and got a bus to Haymarket from the airport. The apartments have 24 hour front desk so we were able to leave our bags in and head to Glasgow on the train. (Train tickets can be cheaper for groups so ask at the counter instead of using the machines). The 2 bed apartment we had was perfect for our needs and we got a taxi the following morning from the train station to the Airport. (The Haymarket bar is a nice boozer to start or end your night).

Great Apartment

Posted 03-Dec-2013 on Hotels.com
Close to Haymarket train station, and 20 minute walk to the castle this apartment was fantastic. It comes fully supplied with cooking utensils and a bottle opener as well as a washing machine/dryer and tablets so you can do a load of washing and have your clothes ready for the next day. Close to pubs and food venues. Bed comfy and good shower pressure, apartment cleaned daily. Has a safe and I felt it was good value for money - I would stay there again.

Great service

Good to have a secure and cosy flat. Few things missing from itinerary grill pan and corkscrew important pieces!! Stained carpet in living area. But overall good place to stay, not handy for our needs but good bus service round corner. Very friendly staff and extension granted for a modest cost although no communication between night and day staff in this regard. Taxi booked for us in timely manner

genuinely friendly, welcoming, helpful staff

Staff were professional, efficient, helpful and above all, were smiling, at us!!! We had been travelling all day and felt less than our best but we were still made to feel welcome. The rooms of our self contained apartment were lovely, clean and thoughtfully appointed. Of course everything was clean. The surrounding area is delightfully typical of the location and that's what we came to see.
