Good location for touring all the sites nearby.

Posted 29-Sep-2014
Pros: Comfortable, pleasant, clean, and enjoyable. The patio in the back was a nice addition.
Cons: Air Conditioning, perhaps. We didn't need it though.
Location: Edinburgh Castle, Mary King's Close, outstanding restaurants and pubs, Holyrood Palace, the zoo, the botanical gardens, and Arthur's Seat plus others.
Excellent and friendly staff. Nice accommodations. The little cafe nearby was nice.

Well equipped apartment

Posted 11-Aug-2014
Pros: Location to train station and city centre. Well equipped kitchen for a long stay.
Cons: Rugs could be replaced to reduce allergies and dust
Location: Close to train station and close enough to city centre.
Well equipped apartment in a great location to the train stations and getting around the city. Rooms clean, staff very pleasant and helpful. Would recommend to friends if they are staying in Edinborough for a holiday.

Great location, great accommodation

Great location, within 15 minutes walking to the city which was far enough to avoid the crowds from the festivals. Friendly and help staff, rooms were clean and kitchen was well equipped.

Secure car park, 8 minutes walk to princes street

Perfect central location, Tesco Extra round the corner to stock up fridge. Sachets of coffee, tea etc supplied which I didn't expect. We had two twin rooms. Plenty space for all of us - 2 adults and 2 teens. Will definitely use these apartments again.

Convenient suite hotel near Edinburgh Castle

Posted 15-Jul-2014
Pros: The location was close to downtown Edinburgh. There were two cafes nearby, as well as a Tesco food market. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Not much. The hotel fully met my expectations.
Location: The location was within easy walking distance from downtown. The immediate neighbourhood was not that attractive, but that was not a priority for me.
I chose this hotel as an alternative to more centrally located (and more expensive) 3 and 4-star hotels nearer to the Royal Mile. The Fountain Court Apartments were an excellent choice, especially so because of the small provided kitchen and the protected parking. There is a small Tesco less than two blocks away, so buying food was simple on foot. Getting to the tourist sights in downtown Edinburgh took only slightly more time than the central hotels, and I did not mind the extra exercise.

Thank you for the great review you have given to our Grove street apartments. it is always great to see our guests having such positive experiences. We do try and make the experience more homely than a hotel with your own dining space so it is great to see you took advantage of this. We look forward to seeing you on your next trip to Edinburgh. Extremely creaky beds, hardly slept

Staff are great, apartment is a bit dated. The bed is so noisy and creaky, i felt like i was staying in the bowls of 1600 Naval galleon.

Pretty solid place

Posted 10-Jun-2014 on Hotels.com
We were a family of 4, staying for two nights. Overall, quite happy with our place. We had a two bedroom apartment on the 2nd floor(American 2nd floor) which was well-equipped and clean. The mattresses weren't very comfortable and definitely could use refurbishment. I'd consider staying here again if parking was free. Given how expensive UK was, it was a good deal considering its location(10 min. walk to city center), overall amenities and cleanliness.
