“Recommend to anyone - give it a try and youll want to return.”
The hotel staff were very friendly, helpful with bus routes locally and extremely welcoming. Every time we saw them they asked if we needed help, had had a nice time etc. This is clearly ran by a family who put their all into running a successful small hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean, the location was perfect for travel into Edinburgh and the local town Penicuik. Breakfast was superb and the waitress met our every need. We would definately recommend this to any age of visitor and it was excellent value for money over our first Hogmanhay new years in Scotland.
“good country hotel”
very good service at hotel staff very helpful and freindly
“Wonderful stay”
Nice quiet hotel with wonderful service. Beautiful grounds. The only problem is there is no elevator or lift. We were on the 3rd story.
“Would certainly use this hotel again”
Having just returned home from spending two days at Craigiebield House Hotel - I would have no hesitation in recommending it to fellow travellers. The room was spacious and very comfortable - breakfast is excellent - dinners very good to - with excellent service. No worries at all.
“Excellent small hotel”
Hard to find, but worth the effort. Clean, tidy and excellent service for a fair price. Fabulous breakfast.
“Conveniently located”
Attractive looking even in middle of winter, generally warm enough although radiator in bathroom did not work, located on the 3rd floor and colleagues room smelt "musty". Staff friendly and helpful, food limited but okay.
“Reasonable hotel, if a bit expensive.”
Good breakfast though!
“No complaints”
The Craigiebeild was an excellent base from which to see the area. The accommodation, meals and stafff were all first class.
“Impressed”
An extremely comfortable hotel with excellent foof. My wife has actually traced and bought the same mattress on the four poster bed. Although some 8 miles from Edinburgh, a regular bus service stops outside the door.
“Friendly Staff”
We enjoyed the history of this quiet hotel. The 4-person room was a bit cramped for us. The staff was helpful and friendly.
