Disappointed at arrival as Expedia gave my Christian name mixed with my surname which showed up as me not having a booking!! The staff at reception soon remedied this. Room was excellent and kicked off a very pleasant stay in Edinburgh prior to heading off on holiday.
After being out for the evening I had a great sleep(sometimes not the case the night before you travel).
No noise in the hotel and I woke refreshed and ready to travel.
Breakfast was, as usual in The Grosvenor Hotel, excellent.
The hotel is worth staying in for the breakfast alone.
I will be back!!
Had a long weekend stay in Edinburgh. First time visitng and fell in love with the city and would definitely stay in this hotel again. Location was perfect with a pick of traditional pubs just across the road. On check in the lovely ladies asked if was out first time in Edinburgh, when we said we they offered advice on restaurants or any sightseeing we needed help with. Felt like nothing was too much trouble and can't recommend it enough.
On arrival staff very warming and attentive . Modern hotel , loved our room with castle view . Excellent hotel and staff fantastic .Breakfast was amazing with beautiful views . This hotel is overall extremely inviting and made our stay extra special .
Stayed here night before and night of My Daughters Wedding held at the Hotel the venue is a fantastic place to hold a wedding the staff were all so lovely and helpful and made the day so special nothing was too much trouble for them.
