“Splendid location - near to bars and restaurants”
Hotel located in the Grass market - splendid location and very close to good pubs, bars and restaurants. Some of the rooms overlook the Edinburgh castle. I would really recommend the breakfast - well worth the extra £10! Some of the rooms feel a little bit dates - however the service is superb and staff are very accommodating. I was allowed to check-in early morning - as far as they have a room ready - they'd offer it at no extra charge.
“Highly recommend :)”
Had a fantastic stay with our girls, very friendly and professional staff, will defanatly be going back to this hotel.
“Recomend this Hotel - I definately would”
The style & comfort of our room was exactly as I expected from the picture on the website, we were not disappointed, it was great. The staff were very friendly & helpful throughout the Hotel. We had a great time.
“Good - but could do better.”
Excellent locaion, but a view of Edinburgh Castle put us at the front of the building which was rather noisy considering the window vents couldn't be closed to reduce the street noise. Arkward lobby layout requiring guests to haul their luggage up about 10 steps before accessing the lifts.Fair enough, but if assistance had been offered it would have been welcome. Bedroom paintwork a little tatty and shower and surround needed a little attention.
“Best hotel in the Grassmarket”
Great hotel. Deluxe rooms were excellent.
“The best place in Edinburghs old town to reach all aspects of the city.”
Full marks to Apex for an instant upgrade to a fantastic room overlooking the Castle. As it was a freak heatwave we had to have the window open which produced noise from the street below, could do with air conditioning. The breakfast was substantial and great choice in the 5th floor restaurant with wonderful views of the castle and parts of the city. Staff are definately on the ball and very helpful. Plenty of choice from restaurants in the surrounding area especially if you like Italian.
“Great Location”
This is a really good hotel, if you purchase using the expedia price but the main rate is very expensive. The hotel is modern, but is in a very busy area so can be noisy at night: so much so that they have ear plugs by the side of the bed. However overal a good experience.
“Great hotel”
Have stayed in this hotel many times and have never once been disappointed.
“Will definitely go back”
We had a lovely family room, with comfortable beds & nice shower. The pool was also nice - although on the smaller side. There are good restaurants & bars just opposite the hotel, although the hotel's own bar was nice and with fair prices. I can't think of any negatives on this hotel. I would definitely stay her again!
“Quality hotel though at a price”
Steep streets to get anywhere - but good exercise Staff at this hotel well schooled in customer service overall good experience
