"Inverlith holiday appartment"
Stayed in inverlith holiday appartment, the appartment is more than comfortable. 10 mins by bus to city centre. Marks and spencer and tesco near the appartment. The only bad thing was the wifi.

"Pleasant apartment "
I was a little unsure as to what to expect based on other reviews bit our apartment (5, 12) was clean, tidy and spacious with all you could want for a few nights stay. The staff were really friendly giving chocolate bars to the children and showing all amenities and texts with full information. You CAN pay by card. We really enjoyed our stay - walked to lovely Loch Fyne restaurant and went to see Britannia and would definitely stay again. The only reason not to give 5 stars is because it does need a bit of minor maintenance such as paint touching up.

"Lovely hotel with very helpful and kind staff!"
The hotel is lovely and is set in a picturesque estate. I can't say enough kind things about the staff. They were incredibly kind and very helpful - helping me to determine what sights I should definitely fit into my schedule. The food on the breakfast buffet was delicious with an amazing variety! I would highly recommend a stay at the Dalmahoy to anyone traveling in the Edinburgh area.

"Good hotel with good transport links to Edinburgh"
Stayed one night on a "tour" of Scotland. Easy to driveto in a residential suburb. Overall a good hotel with pleasant staff. Club room good size and very clean. Had a meal in the bistro which standard, but good pub type food. There is a restaurant as an alternative (not used). Did not use the pool but from previous stay was a good standard. Good transport links to Edinburgh bus stop outside hotels and about half an hour to the city centre, single fare £1.50

"Nice hotel with good proximity to the center of No"
We stayed overnight and it was a pleasant stay, although it has been raining on both days. The hotel has a good size swimming pool and other spa facilities which is great if you're there on a rainy day as were we.

"Luxury close to airport"
Unfortunately, my travel plans changed after booking and I had very little time to enjoy this beautiful luxury hotel. Everything was exceptional except getting to/from my room. Was like trying to figure out a maze to find the elevators. A map would have helped.

"Small hotel located in lovely little town."
Booked a one night stay as we were attending wedding nearby. Very confusing way into hotel through its cafe. Never did find reception just a small cupboard like messy office. Interior signs were quite confusing. Staff were friendly, though we were annoyed to have them chapping on our door at 8.50am wanting in to clean room. Breakfast was served in the cafe and for the cost of the room for a night was a bit tacky. Room itself was spotless and comfortable. No plug near the only mirror was a pain if you wanted to use a hairdyer. Nice enough hotel but overpriced when you had to wander all over hotel trying to find someone to check you in and when you see where breakfast was served.

Pocket Guide: Adventure Sport Hotels in Edinburgh

Staying in Edinburgh isn’t just about sightseeing (unless you want it to be - of course). There is more to this famous city than meets the eye. With Scotland’s 'Golf Coast' on the doorstep in East Lothian and a variety of offbeat adventures to be had within the city you might be surprised by what’s on offer. Adventurous Activities in Edinburgh

While it’s unlikely you will be abseiling down Edinburgh Castle anytime soon, Edinburgh has a vibrant climbing community. There are impressive indoor climbing centres in Granton and Ratho - the latter is the largest indoor climbing wall in the world! The Edinburgh International Climbing Arena also boasts Europe’s largest suspended aerial adventure rope course.

No trip to Edinburgh would be complete without a game of paintball. OK that’s not true, but it’s there if you want it. Head to the indoor centre on Leith Walk or the outdoor area just outside the city in South Queensferry for some colourful simulated combat.

The city is also within easy reach of the Pentland Hills, making it a great place for hikers and runners to base themselves. Hillend Dry Ski Slope is a handy place for skiers.
