Worst night away for a while….
Checkin experience was good. Breakfast experience was good. Unfortunately I was woken at 4 AM by the alarm on my door lock. It was incessant and didn’t stop until the battery died. Nobody was around to assist. I complained on checkout but no member off management team has reached out since.

Think twice
Room didn't have a phone to call downstairs so every time we needed something we had to go down to get it or ask. Coffee maker had a moldy used coffee pod in it so I couldnt drink coffee my whole stay. Bathroom tissue holder was hand knitted and when I grabbed the toilet paper out of the holder silver fish bugs came out! Not the best location hotel either, taxi was $40 in any direction to get to the action. Only plus was the restaurant. Staff were super friendly music was awesome and you can sit inside or out and we didn't feel rushed.

Dear Cherie,Thank you for your review and staying with us.Due to the covid restrictions a few years back we removed all the phones from the rooms. You can however scan a qr code in the room which will get you in touch with us directly through whatsapp so you won't have to leave the room. We do apologize for lack of care regarding the coffee pads and paper holder. We have since hired specialized staff for daily routine controles in every room to guarantee the hygiene and cleanliness. Besides taking the taxi there is also public transport like the bus or a sharing scooter which allows you to get to the center of antwerp for around 3. We are glad our staff was able to be of service to you. Your feedback has been incredibly useful for us to improve our service and we would look forward to the opportunity of welcoming you back once more.With kind regards,

The hotel was great but I had to leave early and they could not cancel my second night. They said it could only be canceled through hotels.com. That made sense and I tried to change my reservation online but it was confusing and didn't work out in the end. So we had to pay the $125 something for the second night for nothing. I would love to talk to somebody at hotels.com about it.

A night close to Antwerp.
Our stay was very pleasant and the room was spacious. There wasn't a restaurant but a bistro across the parking which was OK for us as we needed only a small bite. Breakfast in the hotel was very good with a large selection items.

We requested a disabled room and I called them ahead of time to confirm this. However, we were booked into a ground floor room but there were no washing facilities for a disabled person. Every room in hotel has a high bath with shower attached so only for people able to step up into bath.

Modern hotel outside Antwerp
We stayed overnight on our way to Germany. Plenty of space to park. The room was very spacious, clean and modern. We didn't have any meals at the hotel, so we can't comment on that aspect.

I cant fault the hotel, the staff, the environment was great for my short stay, the breakfast provided everything I needed. Although the hotel did not cater for evening meals I could use David Lloyd but there was not much within walking distance which I could find. The only down side to my stay was my room was next to the entrance which of an evening with a large group staying was noisy.

Short pleasant stay
A little bit difficult to find with an out of date GPS, but not an issue. The hotel is what we expected. The only thing that I'd say we did not like was the interior lighting of the room. The lighting was dim and the room was a bit darker, giving it a less homey feeling than we liked. Otherwise, no issues...standard hotel.

Perfect overnight stop for business traveller
I needed a good quality hotel not far from Antwerp for an overnight stop. Very large room, clean bathroom comfortable, good wifi. Breakfast buffet was fresh with good range of hot and cold. Lots of parking and felt secure. The restaurant is in a David Lloyd complex across the parking. Not much in walking distance except an excellent brasserie/pub "Brasserie De Sprecht". Less than 10 minute stroll. Great beers and food was good. Perfect place for a one night stop passing Antwerp.

Arrived Sunday night the hotel looked fairly empty and quiet.come Monday things changed.this hotel hosts conferences in the actual hotel.for example you get up early go for breakfast and find several hundred people standing around with cups of coffee and orange juice at reception watching you eat your breakfast through the glass doors.i didn't like that even in the evenings the hotel lobby would be crowded with people until 22.00 - 23.00 unacceptable in my view .the rooms were clean and tidy everything worked and the bed was comfy and the air con system excellent .the tv stations on the other hand were poor .just a few channels and fairly boring content.breakfast was simple and expensive so keep away they charge 15euros for the pleasure.also I arrived late at night the first night so I was asleep at 9.00 and awakened by the cleaner who just wandered in!on the last day the cleaner even left my door wide open with all my belongings in clear view.not impressed with that either.all in all I wouldn't go back.pity it has potential if run correctly.

The rooms are big but having two single beds instead of a double is one of my pet hates. The single beds were not very big. The "conference food" we had was actually quite nice for this kind of thing and breakfast was decent. Hotel service not always quick. Please note this hotel is in the middle of nowhere, and there is no restaurant in the evening. I suspect during the day all that is available is conference food. It costs at least EUR 25 each way on a taxi to get to town, so bear that in mind.

Perfect stop off - top value and very comfortable.
I needed a place to lay my head for a few hours whilst on a long drive from the UK to Denmark - spacious, clean room and very comfortable bed; courteous and friendly staff, lovely breakfast and inexpensive. I didn't have the time to enjoy the facilities, but I would expect they'd be as good as those aspects I did have the pleasure to experience.

Stayed 18th & 18th July 2015. Room and Hotel overall is spotlessly clean and staff very helpful. Contrary to the information available in the room, there is no restaurant on site (shame because it's reviews were fantastic) apparently it closed down quite some time go. 23-24 Euros for a taxi to Antwerp city centre but there is a couple of restaurants in walking distance. The only negative to this hotel is it's location... It's set back in what looks like an industrial area and is aimed at business travellers / convention deligates (so completelty dead and lacking atmosphere over the weekend). Would definately stay here again though.

Great value, very convenient
I've been coming to Ter Elst for a few years now and it's typically my preferred choice of Hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful and make you feel welcome. The rooms are spacious and have recently been renovated. There's abundance of parking space available and it's free. And to top if off, the hotel is close to the E19 which makes it very easy to drive anywhere. Antwerp is only 15 minutes away. Even so, because the hotel is outside the major cities, it's nice and quiet so you get a good night sleep! There's not a lot of negative to say about this place, however you might be fussed about some of the following. Although breakfast isn't spectacular, it's very solid and will not leave you hungry. The gym next door is ok (and free!), but not very modern and could do with upgrades. The channels available on the television are very limited and certainly not targeted at Belgians as most commercial Belgian channels are not available (which I personally found very weird). And yes, the WiFi has a complex log-in mechanism that could really do with some simplification (hello Telenet!). You wonder why they bother because anyone in range of the WiFi is a hotel guest! Final tip: make sure you grab a thicker pillow from the closet as the ones they put on the bed standard are so thing you will wake up with a sore neck :) Having said that, a very solid hotel that I'm always happy to return to.

Great hotel for business and gym!
The hotel was great, good WiFi, fantastically equipped gym, restaurant onsite serves nice and not overly priced food, everything you need for a 1 night business stay. The only drawback was that later on in the evening there was a very noisy function and i happened to be in the room nearest to it! Everything calmed down around 11pm so didn't really disrupt too much.

I booked this hotel for a nearby work commitment and found the hotel staff very courteous and efficient, the hotel room as large and comfortable and the gym well equipped and friendly! I would definitely book here again when next working locally!
