Lovely attentive staff, hotel a bit dated.
the hotel is in a lovely location, it is a little dated but bedrooms and beds were very comfy! Definitely recommend for a budget stay. Staff were lovely and attentive!

Basic hotel in Ede
Stayed for 1 night. Basic accommodation. Rooms would need a bit of care, but are functional and clean. Usual Dutch steep staircase. Near the city center (short walk). Longer walk to Ede-Wageningen train station. Fast wifi. Restaurant on site. I would come back (especially as there are not many alternatives in town).

Nice hotel close to center
I was surprised to find the hotel in full Christmas decoration. The staff clearly spent lots of time making the hotel as Christmas-pleasant as can be. Being in the hotel on my own for five days, it gave me a warm feeling.

Short but sweet
Two day stop over on the way back from Germany,spent time shopping and sightseeing.de Paasburg is handy for walking into Ede and has a bus stop right outside,great wifi and tv ,on the down side noise travels easily between rooms .Room size ok for three of us and the breakfast was pretty good.

Great if you feel nostalgic
Only book if it's got a great offer, you need to be in walking distance of Ede or you feel nostalgic. Room seemed to have been last decorated in 1970. Breakfast was expensive and not very nice.

Very friendly staff and location is excellent
The staff were amazing. The hotel is a typical European hotel but it is clean and comfortable and the location is right by the city market and amazing coffee shops. Food at hotel is really good and not too expensive. Would stay again.

In need of renovation or demolition
I stayed 2 nights in the hotel in November. The room I stayed in was small, dark, had purple walls, and a brown carpet which looked well past its best. The breakfast was poor. To be fair the hotel is nicely located near the town and they are renovating rooms but unless you can guarantee a recently renovate room I would no go here again.

Wonderful Hotel
This hotel is lovely, really pleasant staff and the location is amazing. Ede is so nice and very pretty. They have a garage you can lock bikes in which is so helpful and a very short stroll takes you to countless bars and restaurants. Quiet neighbourhood, easy to find and park.

Hotel de Paasberg was a basic hotel. The room was comfortable enough for a family with older children but too small for young children. The bathroom/toilet was good. TV reception was very poor but wifi was good. Breakfast was not included in the price of the room and as an add-on, was expensive. The hotel was very difficult to find because the actual address as advertised was not recognised by our GPS and we spent a good hour, late at night, trying to locate it.

When we booked on here it said free breakfast but then we got there and it was not included. The hotel was great and saw hotel.com error and gave us the breakfast. It is a cold and very dark hotel. The Internet is horrible at any peak hours and the rooms are dated. Staff is very nice and the Chahouse Restaurant is fabulous. Bring toiletries as there is only a men's body wash included. Hot water can also be a problem on the older side.

Very helpful reception staff. Rooms slightly dated and mattresses very soft. Room was a double but had usual continental thing of two singles pushed together. Disappointed that the restaurant only provided a Chinese menu, however breakfast was a pleasant surprise offering scrambled egg, bacon, sausage and mushrooms instead of just continental fare.

Nice clean hotel, friendly staff
This was perfect for our needs. The only slight problem was parking - there was not enough space for every body. The rooms were clean, with en suite shower and bath (though bath rather small). Breakfasts were fine and there is a nice Fusion Oriental restaurant for evening meals. We felt that this hotel gave value for money and we would certainly recommend it

Checking in was very slow, it took over 30 mins. My room was freezing cold (it was minus 6 degrees outside and the heating wasn't on). I complained and was moved to a heated room. Excellent restaurant

This one's a tough call... A bit of an "Oxymoron!"
I'm writing a balanced review here wishing to be fair to prospective guests and to the hotel. The rooms are clean but old and tired and have a lot of noise from drainage pipes etc, that said if you like that 70's type of thing then it'll be right for you. The staff are helpful but if you don't ask for help then no help will be offered, in other words they're not intuitive people, again some people like this and some people prefer a little more warmth. Breakfast was nice and plentiful and we stayed a little late one morning and didn't feel under any pressure to leave which was a very nice touch. The pictures on their listing maybe accurate for some rooms but do not reflect all rooms, we were put in an awful room for the first night and requested a change of room which was made without any problem, but it does take the edge of staying somewhere when you feel you have been sold one thing and then given something totally different, I think sometimes as a business you ought to aim to impress guests to leverage their referral potential if a hotels policy is to "hope they won't complain" then it's something they ought to consider reviewing. All in all, we couldn't say we didn't enjoy our stay because we did, this is a hotel which does it's best in it's own way and they have enough redeeming features to make up for the basic standard of their rooms and lacking parts of their infrastructure. We would stay here again but handle our room choice allocation differently next time.

rather a down at heel hotel but the room was clean, beds comfortable and the breakfast was great. Suits us as family live 2 minutes walk away. Some rooms are situated in horrible locations ( behind bar and pool table) and sound proofing between rooms and floors is awful, you can hear EVERYTHING !!! TV picks up BBC channels which was good.

The hotel reception was very nice, as was the restaurant. Good decoration and spacious. The food was a very good quality, fresh and inventive. However, the bedrooms and landings etc was reminscent of post war accomodation. Small rooms,poorly decorated. A very noisy lift, noise from other residents, single glazed windows allowing road noise, damp and dusty. The bathroom was barely adequate and the en-suite shower was a joke. I actually fell over twice whilst trying to shower because the shower tray was so small.

We didn't expect too much from this hotel since it was a 3 star in a lesser known city. The good thing is our family room was very spacious (2 adults and 1 child) and clean. We were only 25 minutes by car from the Gelredome and the Burger's Zoo. The breakfast buffet was ok and the dining room was nice and clean. We had a good dinner at a busy Italian restaurant called Brutus in the towns center (10 min. walk from hotel). The towns center which is about 50m away has lots of clothing & shoe stores, an Albert Hein grocery store, McDonalds, cafes and a few restaurants. There is also a train station in the towns center. The negatives were the bathroom is tiny. There are no ammenities such as travel sized lotion, bath gel or shampoo. However, the shower has a bathgel dispenser and the sink has a handsoap dispenser below the medicine cabinet. There is also no fitness center/ room but they do have a billiards table. They give you traditional room keys instead of cards but since they are hanging behind a small reception desk I saw people dropping off and taking keys when the receptionist was busy. The balcony is shared with your neighbors so we didn't sleep our balcony door open. BTW, no A/C.
