I had seen some of the reviews so was not expecting to find such a great place to stay. We were made to feel very welcome . We had small dog with us usually if you have a dog you get scruffy rooms and are ignored this was not the case here . The staff were lovely . We will be staying here again .

We were only staying for one night with our grandson as we were visiting family. We were able to book in straight away as our room was available which enabled us to unload our suitcases and go off to visit friends straight away which we found very handy. The breakfast was very good, everything you could want and more! Staff were very helpful and obliging - there were items I needed to wrap a present and I also wanted a late evening soft drink which they didn't hesitate in getting for me.
Stopped here overnight while passing through. My single room was inexpensive, and though quite basic it had a sea view and a clean and functional en suite. Cooked breakfast was tasty. Be warned, the hotel has no car park and parking in this area was very difficult the weekend I stayed. However if you want accommodation on the sea front at a low-ish cost this is OK.

"Spacious hotel with a great sense of its history"
Really friendly helpful staff, relaxed atmosphere. Hotel has great location not just near the sea but raised on a hill thus affording stunning ocean views, watching the moon rise over the waves was breathtaking.
We were given a room with a beautiful sea view, which was amazing. We were actually staying in Eastbourne to go to the Congress Theatre which was even closer than we could have hoped so that was great too! The room was nice, breakfast good, just everything could have done with a lick of paint. But then I suppose if it had gave been perfectly decorated it would have been a lot more expensive because you really couldn't fault the location!
